They work I guess I mean, I don’t usually have any smells in my fridge, but I bought them because something dumped in my fridge and we didn’t know so we did have a smell. I did clean my fridge out and then put these in so I’m really not sure if these are helping or if it’s just cause I clean my fridge out and I usually don’t keep my fridge dirty it’s always clean so I couldn’t really tell you, I guess I look

Been using one in the fridge for a while now and we keep it clean so it's hard to gauge efficacy. But the fridge has a neutral smell so it's not harming either. 10 year lifespan is somewhat unbelievable. We don't know what the mystery material is. Would love to see an MSDS especially since it's near food.

I thought these "permanent" odor control were a great idea. I can't tell that they make any difference in my fridge, car or cupboard where I placed one each. They are a nice design and size, but not very effective

Useful for closets

A little smaller than I thought they would be but they do the job I'm not sure what's in them some kind of silver something But man these work I keep a lot of onions garlic's different smelly odds and ends and of course leftovers I'm so tired of taking a can of soda or a bottle of water out and handing it to people that smells like old refrigerator!!! I know you've been there... It's embarrassing these things do the job No more handing old refrigerator drinks to people!!!

This is a good set and a unique item, that smells pretty fresh when I smell the top of one. They also seem sturdy enough not to break if dropped and aren't too heavy. So basically how it works, from what I can tell, is that it captures ethylene, which is a gas that fruit give off as they ripen. So old fruit will likely give off the most of this smell...so these units will apparently do a very good job of absorbing that odor. It's also used in some products or materials, so it might help with general odors, but I'm not really clear how much it would really help in a closet for instance. But it does say it can help control humidity as well...so perhaps it can help a little around the house, besides just the fridge, but I think other products might be better for those purposes.The downside here is that the instruction guide seems to be from Chinese speakers and has a lot of typos and grammatical errors, which makes me question it a little. And in the instructions it says multiple times that it lasts for 2 years, but in the ad it says 10 years. So it's not really clear how long these are actually supposed to last. (And amount of humidity might play a role I imagine.). So due to the wierd instruction grammar and typos and conflicting info...I will give it 4 stars. But it does seem to do something, as it does smell fresh and nice at the top, and even if they help a little outside of the fridge, then it's worth it to get a pack of 4. Also even if they last only 2 years instead of 10...that's far better than most products of this type, so still a really good value for how long it will last. (Also unsure if you can save some sealed away if that can then replace one after 2 years , or if it's already "used" once purchased, regardless of how and where it's kept.)Bottom line: I think my fridge does smell slightly cleaner, And I do not even keep any old fruit in there, so it's likely doing something, so I would likely recommend to anyone especially with a lot of fruit related fridge odors.

Put in my fridge to control odor. Didn’t make a difference. May as well not been there. Odors still there.
