Great little pot
This is a great little pot that is incredibly versatile. We got it in midnight blue and really like the color. It's almost black, but not quite. It came packaged really well and even looks really nice just sitting on the stove. I know its advertised as being used for bread, but its only 3 quarts so you wont be able to make a regular size loaf in it. It worked great for making homemade tomato sauce. Its lighter weight than cast iron, but holds and distributes the heat nicely like cast iron would. A great option for someone who may not be capable of lifting and washing heavier pots. I haven't tested it out as my oven only goes so high, but I love that it can handle up to 900 degrees F. I can tell this is going to become one of our go to pots. It is our first purchase from the Le Tauci brand, but I would purchase from them again.

Cool color (burgundy) and holds 3Qts if filled to the brim
The first one arrived with a few flaws- there was an area where it looked scratched, like if an errant power sander touched the glaze. The lid wasn’t flat. It wobbled when set on a flat countertop, and also didn’t mate well to the pot. It had too much glazing on the lip of the lid, so it wobbled even worse on the pot with one side off kilter by ~3/16” which wouldn’t keep water vapor or steam in very well at all.The replacement arrived quickly and happily it was flat when placed on a countertop. When on the pot, there is a little wobble, but it mates very well and doesn’t let out too much steam. I cooked up a lazy man stir fry, with rice, enough water to cover it half a knuckle deep, with frozen veggies and a couple frozen salmon filets on top. Medium heat til things got to a boil, low heat to simmer for another half hour or so and the dinner time. I overshot a tiny bit so there was rice kind of baked to the bottom. Perfect chance to test the non-stickiness. With a stiff silicone scraper, a lot of it came up with a good poke. For the stubborn bits, I spread the moister rice around and let it sit. Not everything came off with the silicone scraper, but most everything was removed with a wooden spoon. Good enough for me.This is a great addition to the cooking arsenal, filling a capacity void between the smaller 1.5 and 2.5 quart pots and the 6 quart slow cooker and 8 quart Dutch ovens I already had. Listed dimensions and capacity were spot on. The handles are a tad small for my oven-mitt clad hands, so I’ll have to be aware of that and try to always use at least one mitt with grippier coating. There is a line in one of the product description pix that says, “Made of high-fired stoneware, safe to cool it down with cold water right after heated up.” My *very* strong recommendation is to ignore that completely. The included Use and Care instructions caution against doing exactly that. Because physics says you’re asking for a world of hurt and a sink full of shards and blobs of stew for future archaeologists to unearth and wonder what could have happened for such dinner time disappointment. So aside from a possible QC issue with the glazing application, this is a decent, if on the very high side of what my wallet would feel comfortable shelling out, product.

Easier to use than cast iron
While I love cooking with cast iron, I have an elderly member of my household who just can't handle the weight of an enamel cast iron Dutch oven anymore. I thought this would be a great pot to get her back to cooking her favorite Dutch oven recipes.I tried it out myself, and found it very easy to use, and I'm impressed that a lightweight ceramic dish like this is able to go from the stovetop to the oven! I tried a recipe that called for browning chicken breasts in the pot first before adding butter and sautéing vegetables, then adding flour, broth and cream and the browned chicken before putting it all in the oven with the lid to braise. I was concerned in the first step, as it seemed that the seasoned chicken was going to leave a burned-on mess in the bottom of the pot that would be a pain to clean later, but after adding the liquid, the brown bits on the bottom of the pot deglazed like a champ, and the post-dinner cleanup was a breeze!

Is what it claims to be
This pot is heavy and heats very evenly. The circular ridges inside the lid help water droplets come back down into the food, keeping it moist. It's walks are fairly thick and it can handle being used in an oven, stove top, grill (like cast iron in that way), or even a microwave. The handles do get hot though so best to use hot pads when handling. It's not all that big. I guess I'd call it medium-sized. It's big enough for a vegetable dish or souffle, but not as big as a standard casserole dish. It's a beautiful dark blue color so it looks great as a serving dish. It's a good value given it's versatility.

Great Brand
This is the third Le Tauci product I’ve purchased and I love them all! This is a 3 quart Dutch Oven that is the perfect size for homemade bread. Love the that it’s ceramic rather than traditional cast iron as it’s so much lighter; has a non-stick finish and cleans up beautifully. Oh yeah, it can also handle temps from -4°F to 900°F. Unbelievable! It works great in the oven, on an electric or gas range. Even fits in my air fryer! Although my primary reason for getting this 3-qt size was for baking sourdough bread; it also works great for soups, stews and chili. As I mentioned earlier, this is the 3rd Le Tauci item I have; but it won’t be the last. I can’t think of a better endorsement than to be a repeat customer. 5 Stars all the way!

Ok for sourdough
I got this for baking sourdough bread. I have a smaller cast iron one and I wanted something a little bigger. This makes small-medium (400g flour) loafs. You need to be sure to heat it up prior to putting the dough in. Otherwise you won’t get much oven spring. I look forward to using this for non-bread cooking also.

Small but mighty!
The color of this Dutch oven is fantastic! A super pretty, deep blue. Good for smaller loaves of bread or small batches of other things. Lid doesn’t seal, but I didn’t expect it to. Lightweight, which made the family member with arthritis very excited. Cleans well, and easily. We are very happy with our Dutch oven!
