essential reading
This is an ideal reference book for students of Kung Fu. The book contains various exercises (well illustrated) to help with body conditioning/strenghtening.There are plenty examples of Kicks, blocks, punches and Take-downs etc. Although the best method of learning is with physical training it is helpful to have notes to refer to. I wouldn't go so far as to say that this is our bible but it will never get dusty. Although primarily Wushu , the original Kung Fu, there are also references to other styles that have been developed through it.

Well worth the price?
Looks like an amazing book. But."Available from £160.56"Come on this has to be an error. To be worth £160 for me the 512 pages would have to be 10 foot high and 6 foot wide, explaining every form of Wu Shu imaginable, however obscure, in compleat detail.I'd say it's worth about £30 mabey, and thats high for a martial arts book, because it does look pretty good.

Wow, what a book! This book goes into great detail traditional Wushu training. It starts by the usual history of Wushu and then develops into traditional training techniques including photo pictures. It also had chapters on free fighting applications, chin na and also a chapter on the development of Iron skills. It also has a quite advanced section dealing with cavity press.Includes glossary of all Wushu styles and masters.A neccesity in anyones collection, well worth the price!
