This makes sewing uniform hems so much easier!
This guide has an incredibly strong magnet to attach it to the sewing machine. Through normal use, it shouldn't budge! It has an adjustable guide for different fabric thicknesses. It also has a rounded end that will work for sewing curved edges.I have a fairly steady hand, but this will help take the "oops" out of my sewing!

Brother SE1900
I have a Brother SE1900 machine and this seam guide works well with it! I had gotten a few other seam assistors, but they weren't quite compatible with my machine (had to do some custom engineering to make them work). This however attaches nicely and without hassle. It's a huge time saver and removes a bunch of pin work that I otherwise would have had to do.

Handy little guide
One doesn't really *need* a guide when sewing. You can look at the little lines on your machine, or use a number of other solutions. However, this is about the most convenient solution I have found, and I'm really glad to have it.It works great on my Brother sewing machine. It clams pretty strongly with magnetic force. There is a thin rubber strip around the edge so it doesn't actually touch your machine and scratch it up. You can use the one side that is just a rounded edge...you would be able to butt the fabric right against this and do a perfectly spaced hem or whatever. or you can turn it around and there is a little clip that pushes down on the fabric.By the way, it's kind of a big, beefy thing. In the pictures it actually kind of looks small, but when you have it in your hand, it's larger than expected. Not too large to be useful, by any means (quite the opposite), but pretty large.Nice little idea. It beats putting tape or whatever on your machine. When you are done, just pop it off and put it away. I definitely recommend it.

perfect helping tool
I am just starting out in sewing and have had a hard time keeping my seems straight. This is a game changer. My stitching has gotten so much better with this anchored on my machine. It is so helpful as a double check for measurements with seem allowance also.

Absolute game changer for perfect seams!
I can not express in words how much I love this simple little tool. My love for it rivals even my ruffle foot and rolled hem foot. I'm an avid sewist, and often construct very complex and large garments. This has helped me perfect my seams to be the perfect seam allowance all the way down my fabric. No occasional wobbles or narrowing at all, even when putting yards and yards of fabric through my machines. That magnet is STRONG. Once I put it on the throat plate it's not going anywhere unless I force it to. I like the little clip in the front to help lay my fabric down neatly before it reaches the presser foot. Its so simple, but so effective and has really made my life easier and my garments more professional. For the price of a coffee, it's more than a worthwhile investment.

Why bother
Magnetic gold wasn’t the best it slid all over and didn’t hold the fabric in place like it should’ve so seems we’re off .. not impressed won’t recommend

Excellent!
I'm quite new to using sewing machines. I appreciate anything which will help make using one a little easier. This is a nifty little tool although it is not really little. It works for me. It sticks on magnetically to my sewing machine and gives me one less thing I need to work about when sewing. It helps me get regular seams which make my work look so much less like that of a newbie! Delighted with this.

Seams to be pretty handy (see what I did there?)
I'm not the steadiest seamstress, so I will try anything to help me make straight seams. I like the design of this, it seems easy to use.
