Review of The Last Devil to Die — one of the most thought-provoking novels in the The Thursday Murder Club series.This time, the gang is up against heroin dealers, with multiple murders unfolding through the story. Joyce is completely herself — vibrant, adorable, and finally taking the front seat in solving the mystery and theft. Ron doesn’t have much to do here, while Ibrahim feels a little too verbose at times.Elizabeth and Stephen’s storyline takes an emotional turn, and it was beautifully written. It really makes you reflect on life and the choices we make. Richard Osman has written it brilliantly, and the quotes throughout the novel are wonderful.A must-read for Thursday Murder Club fans — though I’d definitely recommend reading the previous books first to fully enjoy and understand the characters and their journey. Lovely read overall.

The latest book in the series is as gripping as the others and even more heartwarming. The themes of friendship, love and grief come together beautifully. Each book brings forth fills more detail and colour into the beloved characters. Loved it.

The Last Devil To Die is a Richard Osman classic. It dvelves deep into the world of antiques, dementia and murders. With enough clues through the pages, the book is a page turner.

This book is a perfect blend of mystery and Humor, much like the other novels in this series. This is a fitting culmination to the series!

With every new story of the Thursday Murder Club series, one falls more in love with our beloved pensioners.Reminding us of the very first novel, the plot of The Last Devil to Die was fast, interesting, full of heart and turns.The only drawback, if you’re a fan of the series, you can see the ending almost 3/4 chapters before the novel comes to a close. But even that didn’t stop me from enjoying every page and every character’s progression thoroughly.

So much more than a murder mystery though that in itself is so engaging i couldn't put the book down! As the story unfolded and the characters continue to evolve, I found myself holding back tears as a doctor who works with dementia patients and their families - Osman has a gift of balancing adventure, mystery and the heartfelt themes of the novel itself. I cant wait for the next book!

Un 4 eme livre qui reste fidèle au style des trois premier, plein d’humour anglais et une histoire vraiment sympa avec nos 4 retraités préférés.

I have read all four novels in this wonderful series. Enjoyed the humour, complicated mystery, the quirky characters and the surprising depth of life's trials and challenges woven in to the story. Loved the books. Did not want them to end.Recommend you read the series in order as each story picks up where the last one left off.I so enjoyed spending my time with Elizabeth and the gang!!

Richard Osman writes great mysteries with compelling characters and interesting themes. He also has an uncanny ability to write about regular people, mobster types, police officers, and especially the elderly. He is compassionate, funny, and really intelligent. I'm so glad I discovered his books.
