Works mostly well.
My fiancΓ©e loves chips, definitely one of her top tier snacks. But she doesn't eat them every day, and often times gets disappointed when her chip bag goes stale. So I saw this and thought it would be a fun little gag gift for her. She thought it was awesome! It's definitely easy to use, and she's got it hooked on the side of the fridge for easy access.I will say I have only tried to use it twice and it didn't go great. Not sure if I need to be going slower, or faster, but the first time it basically just melted through the bag like it was cutting (yes, I made sure I wasn't using the blade button) and then when I retried I went a bit faster and it didn't cut through but it also didn't seal fully. So it's likely user error, but since I didn't get to see the user manual I'm not sure if there's something I'm missing.Fun little gadget, way better than chip clips, and hopefully I can get the swing of it soon so I can be more efficient with it!

Not easy to use but well worth having around
I agree with the complaints offered by other reviewers, but I still recommend this sealer. While it's a pain to use at times, it can seal plastics that our Food Saver could not. When it does work, it's quick and efficient. It's inexpensive and easy to store. Two problems contribute to its difficulty: the varying thickness and consistency of the plastics and the fact that the device applies heat to a very small surface area. Plastic chip bags often tear vertically, making it difficult for a sealer with only a 1.25" opening. The heat from the sealer frequently heats the plastic to the point where it melts and separates. It takes a lot of practice to get the plastic hot enough to seal and then move the head before the plastic underneath disintegrates.Despite its limitations, this sealer still outperforms other methods. Even if it doesn't achieve a perfect seal, it's still more effective than using a paper clip or folding the bag. I've found that all the chips I've sealed with it have stayed fresh, and I can use a paper clip on the folded bag for extra insulation. It's a simple device that's not particularly simple to use, but a worthwhile addition to a kitchen.

Kind of works?
The device charged up fine and it worked on a small bag of chips but the operation was a little awkward, trying to keep the bag opening flat in the air, as your pushed the button to activate the heat, but also sliding the device to seal. Almost need 4 hands to do this. Maybe it just takes more practice

Great little heat sealer
My daughter lives in Hawaii, and has mentioned before that with humidity she has to throw out some foods that get stale much quicker than they would on the mainland. With food costs being higher in Hawaii, I saw someone online mention how much she loves her mini heat sealer for saving chips, etc., and I thought it would be worth ordering to see if it might help my daughter.I love that you don't have to preheat this at all. I happened to have 3 open bags of food in my snack cabinet, and decided to try them all out with it. I will say that sealing the tortilla chip bag was the easiest; the sealer slid smoothly and it sealed quickly. My other 2 bags (pita chips and Hippeas) are a plastic material outside and a reflective foil inside, much like the chips bag pictured on the OidoZac listing. I actually found these a little harder to seal; the sealer slid across ok but was burning holes in the bags, and I wasn't sure (until I tried to squeeze out air) whether the bags were fully sealed, which they were. It took a little longer to seal the plastic/foil bags, but they did seal so that is a win. This gadget does work; I'm just not sure if the time spent is something I would regularly do to reseal a bag unless I lived somewhere where a basic chip clip isn't adequate enough to keep snacks fresh.

Works better than any I have had to date!
I have had many mini bag sealers, none of which lived up to my expectations. I have been using clothes pins and clips to reseal bags, and decided to give a heat sealer one more try. I found this one at a great price, and ordered. It is small, easy to hold, and very easy to use. It heats up literally immediately, so there is no wait to seal. You just turn it on, hold down the seal button, and it slides easily and seals well. Every time. It helps keep those chips and cereal (and many other things) fresh and crunchy, and I am not folding and fumbling with a clothes pin or clip! It is rechargeable, and takes up very little space in a drawer or on a countertop. It does have a built-in magnet, so it can stick to any applicable metal surface--I keep mine on the fridge (surprise!). I like this little sealer very much. It works well every time. I would recommend it without hesitation.

A tiny snack re-sealer now lives on the side of my fridge
I ordered the "Chip Bag Sealer Mini, Rechargeable Heat Sealer, 3 in 1 Mini Bag Sealer Heat Seal with Cutter & Magnet, Portable Mini Bag Resealer for Chip Bags, Plastic Bags, Snack Bags (White-Green)" because I get grumpy when my "chip clips" fail to keep contents fresh. A bag re-sealer seemed like the solution to that problem.First thing I noticed is that this device is so tiny. Much smaller than I expected. It's roughly the size of a small stapler. The second thing I noticed was the magnetic backing on the bottom - which screams "stick me to the side of the fridge so you can find me!" And that's exactly what I did. Charging didn't take long and I tested it out on a bag of tortilla chips and it worked as expected. A bit awkward at first but I chalk that up to lack of familiarity (aka "user error").For the time being, all seems well and I'm happy to have this convenient (and convenient to store) little tool to help me keep some of those chips and crackers from getting stale before their time. As for how it holds up - well, only time will tell. If you're reading this review and there's no "EDITED XX/XX/XX" header at the beginning, then that means it's still working! Until then, I am happy to recommend this affordably priced tool, (which is currently listed at $12.99 with an additional 20% off coupon).
