No issues. Worked well
Used it in Shikoku and Tokyo and only spot with no signal was up in the mountains between temples 11 and 12 on the Shikoku Pilgrimage.

Handy
Picked this up for a Japan trip and seems to work well so far. I can't really get 5G on my phone with this carrier but normal LTE seems to work just fine for me.

The sim didn’t work in Japan, but fully refunded
The sim requires APN download. For some reason, the sim didn’t work in Japan. I communicated with customer service and refunded.

No issues connecting
I have used these sim cards for every trip to japan so an oppurtunity to try a big brand like this i wanted to give it a go. It worked without a hitch in japan in tokyo and yokohama. Connection was stable and the APN set up takes less than a few minutes. I did end up using the data in like 10 days though whcih is my own fault for trying so many data heavy things haha but i did find the speeds okay and connecting to maps and translation was all fine.

Doesn't work with non-5g phone
Just came back to the states from a trip to Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo with 1 newly purchase of this sim and one bought from months ago when went to Tokyo. My son was using a lower model Samsung phone and we had no idea why it didn't work when the same sim worked in my Samsung s23. Contacted support and they responded quickly, and they asked me to send screen shots of APN, SIM settings, etc. and they had no clue until I found out myself then they confirmed the sim can't work with non-5G phone after contacting the Japanese service provider. With my S23, the reception was okay, my wife was using a different network and she had signal whenever I had no signal or slow connection about 70% of the time when we were in the 3 cities. Another con is we can't check the data balance ourselves.

It worked!
Just got back from a trip to Japan and the sim card worked well for the most part. Seamless operation for data only use. There was a bit of a difficulty getting it set up bit that was just because of a mis-entered APN (whoops). But other than that, just by following the instructions, you'll be fine.I previously had LINE installed and it worked flawlessly when this SIM was entered. Texting through LINE and making voice calls worked just fine (a small delay connecting but not problematic at all).Data speed was fine and didn't hinder much at all. Being in and out of the subways however was a bit tricky and DID warrant a few restarts. The SIM card did just fine through Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. Though an eSIM may have been easier to set up, this worked great andbwas the least of our worries while travelling. It absolutely helped integrating our travels with the help of being connected. No troubles here. Get it, set it up (while you have wifi), and enjoy your trip.Remember its data only but voice calls can be made with other messaging apps like LINE. Orbyou can set up a Google voice number (this was a hassle for me IMO) Stay away from video calls, it'll eat up your data. The cost is well worth the convenience and speed. I'm very happy with the results. Sticking to WiFi whenever I can I only used about 3GB of data over the course of 2 weeks. I'd say was moderately liberal in using data.
