I ordered this hand-held blaster for a small project where I need to strip and repaint some mild steel sheets. It arrived today, and after giving it a quick test, I’m happy to say it works brilliantly! In the video, I’m blasting a scrap piece of mild steel square tubing I had lying around. It’s been in my garage for years and was covered in mill scale and some rust. I’m using 120-grit aluminum oxide as the blast media with the hopper (not the siphon). It may be hard to see clearly in the video, but the finish after blasting is absolutely beautiful—totally clean and velvet-smooth. For small projects like car parts, I think this blaster is going to be incredibly useful. Quick tip: If you’re using the hopper and you point the gun downward before pulling the trigger, the blast media can spill out. Start with the gun level as you pull the trigger, then move to a slight downward angle while blasting.

Don’t waste your money! Did not work out of the box. Reservoir was pressurized sand would not come out. I did not use this when I purchased from Amazon. otherwise I would have sent it back but the window was closed so in the trash it went

Others have said similar in their reviews. I wish I would have paid attention... and tested my compressor. I have a 180 psi max pancake compressor that works great for my nail gun and my paint gun. Unfortunately, it can only maintain a static 60-70 psi with continued use. So, the first blast with this thing takes off a slight bit of paint/rust. But, continue to use it, and it just doesn't work. This thing may be a nice budget-friendly purchase, if you ALREADY have a $500+ compressor that can maintain high pressure.

Great for small projects or crafts, easy to adjust, I seem to have a hard time with the gravity feed hose into bucket method but I am unsure if it’s due to the metal part and hose or operator error, however more clear instructions with a FAQ section might could be beneficial. Ease of cleaning gets a 5 star Value for money, is totally worth it for the low price!

The Gun rarely draws through the pickup hose, as others have stated. Works okay from reservoir, not like my Mac Tools one did though.
