It's a nice pointer that retracts for easy storage and has a wristband that makes it easy to hold. Although it is long, it can be adjusted to fit your needs.

I'm a high school teacher and I love this update on an old-school pointer. I've used laser pointers before but they break easily and run out of batteries. I like that this one is small until opened up. It is fun to point at the students and I feel just a little silly using it, which I think is great.

The pointer is simple and easy to use. I placed a quarter in the picture for scale. In the hand, it does feel like a light piece of plastic which gives the feeling of low quality material; however, it is not. It does extend and collapse smoothly. I do not detect any shaking or rattling of parts. So, it is solidly constructed. I highly recommend this pointer to others. Again, light weight, smooth movement; and a nice orange-tip for visibility. However, it does feel like a light piece of plastic.

So, I originally purchased this extending pointer so I can irritate what I would call a cranky 13 year old while she did virtual school as I teach in another virtual class. It WAS supposed to keep her awake and focusing. It worked wonders. She’s been awake and focused on her classes since she didn’t want to get poked/nudged. Well, I guess she got tired of it and has decided to abandon me for the good old fashion brick and mortar school and now I’m sad. Oh well. Although I won’t be able to make my colleagues entertained by attaching odd things, I can now play with an orange terror and keep it occupied. As well as to poke the 13 old cranky pants, or anything really, from a safe distance.It’s a comfortable weight not too heavy and definitely light weight which makes it easier to hold out with one handed for long periods of time.It’s shaft is sturdy. I was afraid that it would be one of those items that would break or bend when extended and some pressure is placed on it.It also has a nice slide to close which is perfect for slow emphasizing and it won’t close when you don’t want it to.Very happy with the poking stick.

Wonderful--Can't always use a laser pointer . This works wonderful. I love it.

I bought something like this from Daiso Japan in the past but they no longer carry it so I found something similar from Amazon. This one here is way bigger and it's plastic cover with alloy inside. It's pretty flimsy looking and I'm afraid it won't last long.

Pointer a little on the big side. Wish plastic orange cap was less conspicuous and made of rubber instead of hard plastic. Product quality is average to low. Wouldn’t buy it again.

I wanted a pointer for use in my classroom when I need to point to posters that are up high, which is frequently. I was concerned about whether the pointer would feel flimsy when fully extended but it is very sturdy. I also like the red tip which makes it easy for students to track. An excellent addition to any language teacher’s kit.
