Nice Guillotine Paper Cutter
I've been wanting a guillotine paper cutter for a while, to help with my card making and other crafting. This is the type of paper cutter that was in every classroom, when I was growing up. You know the ones, giant, metal, heavy, and lethal, if in the wrong hands. That kind of cutter is still sold, in variations, but costs upward of $60, to maybe $300 for a fancy schmancy one. I didn't need that kind of firepower, or that expense, so was pleased to come across this one on Amazon. It is a nice size, made of durable plastic, with a grid and measurements on it. The blade moves nicely, and cutting paper is quite straightforward. You need to hold down the clear plastic piece, with the paper underneath it, to prevent paper movement in the cutting process. It cuts nicely, though, with no rough edges. I do have an issue with the grid that's cut into the surface of the cutter: it doesn't line up with the actual measurements at all. In my experience, the grids are done in 1/4" increments. In this case, the grid squares are slightly larger than that, not corresponding to any imperial measurement. Maybe it's done for a metric measurement - I didn't check that. In my case, I'll just need to make sure the paper is at the right measurement at the top of the surface, then hold it straight from the top down. It took me a while to find the handle for the cutting blade. It is attached to the underside of the cutter, near the bottom edge (see photo). You have to remove the 2 screws on the blade handle area, slide the handle on to the metal piece (you'll see the L-shaped cutout in the handle, that fits over the blade), then replace and tighten the screws. Once it's on, it's very secure, and makes cutting a breeze. The cutter also includes a small corner rounder, and a small hole punch (1/4" holes). These two things slide into little compartments built into the top of the cutter, which is nice. I don't have to find room for them in my craft table, or immediately forget where I put them (a real issue for me, these days). They both work quite well, too, which was a pleasant surprise. See the photo of the tag I cut, with corners rounded, and hole punched. There is also a small drawer built into the base of the cutter, on one side. It's enough to hold several pieces of paper or card stock. When you're finished cutting, the cutter blade locks into place, against the side of the cutter, making it safe and secure, especially if you have little ones around. I'll have to wait and see how this device holds up over time; but for now, I think it's a great guillotine cutter to have in my craft room. At $29.99, as of this writing, this is a good value for anyone, even those who don't necessarily use a paper cutter daily, but would benefit from just occasional use (teacher's day cards, thank you cards, holidays, etc.). I'm very pleased to have found it.

Hard to line up cuts
This paper cutter cuts nicely, however, its makes it very difficult to see where you are going to cut.

Pretty-good paper cutter.
This is a pretty good paper cutter with some nice extras. I wasn't sure how much I'd value having the included drawer, but I'm finding it very useful to hold pieces of unfinished projects, or paper scraps if I'm not near a trashcan. The single-hole hole punch and corner rounder are also great little bonuses which are very handy, yet tucked neatly and securely out of the way in the unit.I was able to get the plastic handle onto the blade, but I struggled for a very long time trying to screw the handle in with the included screws. I had the holes aligned perfectly, but it just wasn't happening no matter how much I tried! I eventually gave up on that. The handle still stays on, as it's a pretty snug fit, but I do wish I could have secured it with the screws.

Basic Paper Cutter with a Few Amenities
This is a VERY lightweight, basic paper cutter. It is not a heavy-duty, durable paper cutter. However, it works well for basic cutting. This is not what I would rely on if you have a lot of cutting to do. It is sharp, but not a thick durable blade and has a plastic handle. When I opened the box, I thought the handle was missing as it was nowhere to be found in the box. I'm glad I thought to turn the paper cutter upside down as it was stored in the bottom of the paper cutter. It comes with a thin screwdriver that did not work well to put the screws in for the handle. I had to get a regular screwdriver to install the handle to tighten the screws. It does have a few nice features/amenities. It has a pull-out drawer to store items, a simple removable hole punch, and a simple removable corner paper cutter that is stored in little cubbies on the side of the paper cutter. If you are looking for a simple basic paper cutter to have when you need an item cut from time to time, this paper cutter is fine. However, if you are planning to do a lot of paper cutting, I would look for something different.
