We use them more for sous vide than for storage. The o-ring sealed snap lid containers are better for bug free storage.This 22 Qt container can hold a medium 'roast', or multiple large steaks. or several 1/2 gallon Ball jars (great for making yogurt!).Highly recommended.

I like the size of this container, 2 of them will hold the super-size bag of dog food food I buy and then I don't have to keep it in it's bag and worry about it going stale or pests getting into it. They stack nicely and look tidy. Happy

For the life of me I had the hardest time trying to figure out “Exactly” what lid goes with this container, it would make it so much easier if the lid came with it, so after thinking I had the right lid to go with this, it doesn’t fit well at all, so much for trying to get a “airtight” container with a lid that just sits on top and not sealed. I might be wrong with the lid I ordered, but I didn’t realize it until later, it’s too bad, with the brand name I thought it would be better than that. I don’t understand why they don’t come with the lids??? Other then that the size is exactly what I wanted, but the lid not fitting, I’m sure I will find a use for it, just wish they came together.

These are not cheap, but they are, as long as you don't get them near a flame or too high of heat, indestructible in a home environment. I have used them in restaurants for years and they do not take on colors, odors or other contaminants, wash up perfectly and protect your food. This one will hold a 25 pound bag of rice, beans or flour with room to spare. Get the lid, sold separately.
