Well packed for transit and relatively easy to assemble, with tools and instructions included. There is a bar on the side for adjusting the height - there is a good variety in height. When sitting on the stools they seem very stable and robust. I've know some other bar stool type chairs to be quite wonky. The stools have a soft seat with a velvety feel to it and a short back - they have a premium look to them and have certainly improved my kitchen!
