Defy: 1 (Rise of the Empress) Paperback – Import, 24 January 2023

The beginning of the story kept my attention but it took me a few chapters until I really got into it, then I had a hard time putting it down. I really enjoyed the characters and storyline. I very rarely will pre purchase the next book in a series, but I did this time the moment I finished this book and am eagerly awaiting book 2 in the series.

I loved the plot of this book and I can't wait to see how C.S. Doraga chooses to continue the story. I highly recommend checking out this amazing author and her debut book!

This was such a good read! Well written and the story line kept me wanting more. Can't wait for the next in the series!
