Powers my 12" Meade LX200 GPS telescope
My astronomy club was gifted a somewhat old 12" Meade LX200 GPS telescope. You can power it with a handful of batteries, but it's heavy enough as it is and I hate blowing through batteries or risking them exploding if we don't use it often enough or performance slowly suffering and turning into issues before you realize they are getting weak and dying etc. My club and I always have large standalone LiFeP04 or LiOn batteries with us so I figured an AC adapter would be a more sensible alternative that would work at home and in the field.So far it fits the power jack perfectly fine and has had no trouble driving the movement, keeping steady power during a 1+ hr long firmware update, etc. So, zero complaints.
