Great organic material for garden
Tried this last year to lay down in my garden to keep weeds from growing around my tomato plants. The breathable organic material allowed water to penetrative thru but no weeds- it was GREAT! Immediately ordered this so I have one on hand for next seasons garden. Easy2cut yet durable for entire season. End of season, just toss remnants into compost as it does break down over the 6+ mo it was in the garden

Not As Advertised
I took a gamble on this product because of what the listing description promised, especially the pictures. Unfortunately, the roll of coconut coir fabric that I received fell far short of expectations. It’s not nearly as thick as advertised, nor is it a single uniform layer of tightly bound coir fibers. It appears to me that the method used for pressing the coir into a single layer was only marginally successful. I say this because the fabric is separating in a regular periodic fashion along the entire length. I’m also not trilled about the quality of the material. It’s much dirtier than other coir fabrics I’ve used, and there’s quite a bit of woody scrap fragments scattered throughout. In fairness, I suspect this product will still work as a basket liner or substrate for growing microgreens, the latter application being my primary interest. However, I personally prefer to use coir fabric of a higher quality. And it doesn't help that the pictures are a gross embellishment. That tactic might be good for sales, but it's a sure fire way to burn customer satisfaction. Needless to say, I do not recommend.

Loosely woven
Most coco liners I've seen are densely packed and pressed together so they're rather stiff and you can't easily see through them, and they're about a quarter inch thick. This particular coco liner is different. It's quite thin and light, maybe 1/8" thick and you can easily see through it between the fibers. Depending on what you plan to use it for it may or may not work. 8 believe it would be just fine as a top dressing to hold in moisture on a potted plant, or as a mulch. I don't think it would work especially well as a liner for a fence planter that's made out of widely spaced metal wires. The spaces between the fibers of the liner would allow all the soil to fall through.

Nice, thick liner; easy to work with, looks nice.
It seems like it took forever, but I finally got another project completed today. I have a series of hanging metal baskets on my back patio that needed to be spiffed up with new liners and new plants. About a month ago a large, very overcrowded pot of spider plants fell off its stand and broke. Today I planted those spiders in the aforementioned baskets using the roll of VIVOSUN coco liner to line the baskets.I was afraid that the liner would be hard to work with, but the opposite was true. It cut easily with a pair of household scissors and was easy to handle. I cut some slits in the sides of the liner and overlapped the flaps produced by the cuts to make the liner fit the round baskets (like putting darts in a dress). The only problem I had was that some of the baskets were larger than others and quite deep, so the liner was not large enough and I had to piece it together. Once the baskets were filled and hung, my less than professional job was hardly noticeable and the plants looked fine in their new homes.I was able to line six of my eight baskets with the one roll of liner. It probably wasn't any cheaper than using pre-made liners, but my baskets are different sizes and shapes (I accumulated them from various yard sales), so I wanted to be able to customize the liners to the individual baskets and I was able to do that. I'm thinking about what to do about the remaining two baskets. I probably won't buy another roll of the same product because I don't need that much for only two baskets, and I expect the product will last a long time so I don't want to have to store it until the baskets need new liners. But it was great for my project and I recommend it to others.

Great Mat to Keep in Moisture in the Summer
I got these to line my planter boxes for summer veggies. This liner roll was incredibly easy to cut to fit across the boxes with excess to spare. So far I've had no trouble with weeds. The moisture levels stayed well-balanced so my plants never dried out or even got moldy with the humidity where I live! So far, I've really loved the product. This is also a great option if you've accumulated different sized boxes and don't want to buy several sets of differently-sized liners.

The Mat Works, But Has a Slightly "Greasy" Feel
I used this mat in place of mulch to cover a couple watermelon hills in my garden. Scissors worked, but it took some time to cut through the material. I tried a knife, but that was hopeless. Once cut, it went down easy enough. I think it will do the job. But it has a slightly greasy feel to it for some reason, and I had to put the soaker hoses under the mat because water would bead up and run off of it.
