It's cheap for a reason.

The price was attractive so I bought 200ft to rapell with. The outer sheath is so loose around the core, the end of the rope needs to be cut off so the extra sheathing has somewhere to go when you flatten out the sheath onto the core with your first descent. I ended up with almost THIRTY EXTRA FEET of sheathing after flattening the sheath down to the core, leaving the rope super stiff. If you use this rope to rapell, you MUST cut the end of the rope first. Otherwise, the sheath will bunch up at the end and jam your descender.Bottom line, you get what you pay for

It definitely works but you can definitely tell it's a cheap rope. The sheath has alot of stretch and it slides almost easily around the core. I think I was able to stretch around 3 ft of sheath out of 20 ft of this rope. That made it tight fitting but enhanced its already very stiff nature. If you are used to climbing ropes then you are probably going to hate how stiff this rope is. I'm not that picky but it still gets annoying even for me. The sheath also has relatively large plastic bumps here and there that are from the termination of a strand making the sheath. Without gloves they can be very uncomfortable.All that said we have already put some really heavy loads on this rope and it took it like a champ so it 100% works just know cheap rope is cheap rope.
