Hair Brush, 3 in 1 Multifunctional Silicone Steam Brush for Dogs and Cats, Advance Mist Technology for Shedding and Cleaning, Beige

All of my cats enjoyed this brush and it pulled lots of loose hair. I didn't want to use the solution that it came with or put anything else in the brush.

I already have another pet steam brush but I have difficulty holding the palm sized brush so I wanted to give this one a try.My cat loves the way the silicone bristles feel. He stretches out on his belly and writhes around while I brush him. He's weary of the steam function, but as long as I keep it away from his ears and don't allow him to see the steam before I make contact with his back, he tolerates the cool mist fine.This steam brush has just a bit slightly stronger steam pressure than his previous brush. The rotating handle does make this brush easier for me to hold but it's not as fixed as I would like it to be. It turned out of the position I held it in a few times and I had to stop to push the handle back. It's nothing major but should be noted.My cat just finally got through his heaviest shedding season so the brush didn't grab as much hair as I'm accustomed to. In order to determine if it was a fault of the brush or a lack of loose fur, I used his old brush on him to compare. They both removed comparable amounts of fur. When he's shedding badly, I usually get several thick pads of hair that I must remove from the silicone bristles before we're done. I anticipate that I will get the same results when I use this brush during shedding season.The brush is easy to fill with water by flipping the rubber seal out of the way and holding it under a light stream of water from my kitchen faucet. The brush is rechargeable and comes with a short charging cable. I can usually get 2-3 brushing sessions before having to recharge. I generally have to refill the water reservoir each time I brush him.The directions advise that you can add a few drops of essential oil to the reservoir if you prefer. I strongly advise against this unless you know for certain that what you use is safe. Cats are very sensitive to essential oils and many are deadly to them. The brush included a dropper bottle of 'Pet Leave In Serum' that I'm opting not to use because I'm unfamiliar with the ingredients.

It is, after all, a cat brush. But it also talks about working for dogs, and my border collie hates being brushed, so I thought I'd try. It just didn't do much for her coat. I was just asking too much of a cute little cat brush.
