This is completely awesome , built very strong and a great addition to my Is fishing tackle backpack.

It extends. It retracts. It feels weighty in your hands, and heavy things tend to last.

I like that these are magnetic, but one of the things that has slowly annoyed me about these is the nylon strap that goes to the clip is a little bit too long. There's just too much length on the full keychain! Nippers, etc, are going to dangle around and get caught on stuff on one of these.I ended up using them for not-fishing related activities and have gotten a lot of use out of them!

My original intent when I ordered these retractors was to use them when fishing. However, I am having to reevaluate how I will use them. There are two in the package. They also come with multiple ways of attaching them to your person, or tackle bag. There is a carabiner type clip to attach to a loop or D-ring. There is also a clip which can be attached to the rear of the retractor. There are also multiple ways to attach tools to the retractor. There is a safety pin device as well as a split ring. Lastly, a screw driver is included to attach a the clips.These retractors are very robust, and the magnet firmly secures the cable to the unit and does require some effort to separate it. This will require a bit of "getting used to". Also, the spring which retracts the cable is pretty strong. These are not the typical types found in fly shops. These are solid, well made devices, and I am unsure exactly how they will be used for now, but I am confident I will find a suitable purpose for them.

These are nice retractable leashes. They have a strong pull when retracting, and solidly clip in place. The line and the spool have magnets on them, so they hold securely.You can attach the included belt clips, or use the snap hooks to secure them to your equipment. I've got one on my life vest for my fishing pliers, and one attached to the bikini to hold a hand towel.These are nice quality, and strong. They are versatile, giving you a number of options on how to use them. Overall, I am very happy with them and would highly recommend them.

I didn't test the break away weight on these magnets but it's pretty far up there. Pretty ingenious to supplement the ordinary retractable cord with strong magnets. You better have these clipped to something pretty stout considering the weight they could be carrying or if you were to happen to get the thing you're carrying snagged on something while you're walking you could get a pretty significant jerk.If you need to carry something heavy on the end of a retractable cord than this could be the very thing you need. Recommended.

These things work like a charm for holding heavier items or a bunch of keys. These are really nice because they also have two options for securing them on your person; a belt clip OR removable Velcro loop. I'm using mine to hold some basic tool essentials such as a box cutter, keychain sharpies, and a miniature tape measure, and I couldn't be happier with them! I would absolutely recommend these!
