A really excellent hard wax polish that give a very good finish
A really excellent hard wax polish that give a very good finish. It does require some effort for the best finish but is worth it. I make wooden toys and furniture - this is just the job where I do not want to use a polyurathane spray finish.

Easy to Use with a Good and Shiny Result
I bought Liberon Polish Black Bison [Clear] 150ml for a Victorian writing slope with a veneer finish. Being about 150 years old, the wood clearly would benefit from a quality wax. I chose the clear wax because I didn't want to obscure the lustre in the finish.I found the wax easy to apply with a new yellow duster. Instructions are to apply sparingly, so a little went a long way. The wax dried in about 20 to 25 minutes and then I buffed it with another new duster. The result is perfectly good and shiny. I suspect that if I worked harder by applying more coats and a lot more buffing, I could get a really high gloss finish. The wood has some minor marks and scratches, not surprisingly in view of its age, and these show through the wax as I wanted them to, as I didn't want to lose the piece's essential character. I think the wax has a pleasant smell, which is not overpowering.

In a world where even the successful and accurate completion of a task is the exception (McDonald's drive-thru for example) it's nice to see that you can still get a simple can of paste wax.

Paste wax for furniture
I tried other brands, but this one (Liberon) was recommended to me. I ordered it, tried it on the surface of an old bombe chest. The finish turned out well.....

Arrived in a leaking container
It looks that an already used box was sent..it was half empty ...I could not return it as mentioned on the label..not disclosed before ordering...product is good tho ..
