ESV Gift and Award Bible (Trutone, Black)

So obviously my comment about being an amazing Bible is not related to content, ESV is widely known, but more towards the craftsmanship of it. Very elegant. Slim. Easy to carry around.Perfect to keep for you or give as a gift.

I ordered this Bible to easily take with me wherever I go. My other Bibles are either too large or too thick or the covers are too hard to cart around everywhere. This Bible really fits the bill...it has a soft leather-like cover and the size is perfect (8 1/2" X 6") to fit in my carry-all or a large purse. Some reviews mention that the print is difficult to read because it is small, but I don't find it impossible and for the ease of carrying it everywhere, the print size is negligible to me. I'm glad I purchased it and I will use it for the purpose intended. Another nice feature is the first page (see picture) that gives you a "Good Place to Start" with specifics on how the Bible is laid out and two "reading plans" and "Where to find help", etc.I did give it only 4 stars because there is no ribbon for keeping your place and it would be difficult to put index tabs on this Bible because several of the books in both the Old and New Testament areas are not separated with a new page...they just follow along on the same page as the previous book, which would make marking the book with an index tab difficult. However, that isn't a deal breaker for me, either. In addition, the price is really good for a quality Bible such as this one is. It comes packaged in a protective cardboard sleeve and would make a nice gift.Side note: I have been a Vine member for almost a year and I give totally honest reviews. To earn 5 stars, the products I review have to be really well made, perform extremely well, and have a decent price point. I have no qualms coming back to revise my reviews if products fail to perform or turn out to be junk.

I love my Bible. There’s not much to be said about it. It’s a Bible kind of says it all with the description. It’s made of quality material. It’s easy to read and I’ll be using it for quite some time.

This Bible is the ESV version Gift and Award Bible, but it's not only for gifting to others.. I highly recommend this for a personal use Bible. It's soft on the outside and very smooth. Looks pricey, but it's not! It lays flat when you open it, and isn't easily damaged or creased. The words are smaller, but that doesn't affect me at all. I like that it is thinner and lightweight so I will take small words. The version is still true to the scriptures, but easy to understand. I really enjoy the ESV reading and the info inside this Bible to help you get started. These would make excellent gifts for others, as keepsakes or awards. The quality is top notch for a very good price!

I love the ESV and have been using that, alongside an NASB, for about 10 years now due to the readability and high degree of literal translation. This Bible is a great size and weight to carry around. It is not a study Bible, so there are no notes included, but it does include some lovely reading plans, a plan of salvation, and a weights and charts measurment. Overall, I think it is a well-filled, great version of scripture for a great price. Great to get to keep for yourself and another one or two to give away!
