I love this knife!!
Kitory Japanese Nakiri Chef Knife with Full Tang Wood HandleI love this knife!! It's a bit heavier that the normal ones I use so it will get some getting used to but I think the weght helps in the chopping. I have wanted one like this for a long time and I am so happy I finally got one. I highly recommend this as it does look like it's very high end quality

It's pretty average
I like the look of this knife and it has a nice weight to it. Those are the plus sides of this, the down side is that it is not as sharp as I thought it would be. I guess for the price it is still a pretty good value but I am concerned that it is dangerous. A sharp knife will cut through right where you want it to cut, a not so sharp knife tends to move from where you are trying to cut and increases the risk of cutting yourself.

GOOD PRICE x QUALITY
I loved this knife and how it cuts the vegetables and meats. The quality is higher compared to the price of similar knives. So I am very happy with this purchase.

Not Bad... Not great.
This is a very decent 18-dollar knife. I would not pay full price for Kitory knives as the fit and finish are generally not good quality. I have 5 of them now. 3 of them have very sharp rivets holding the handles on. It's as if they are too long. For just a fast use its not overly terrible but it's not ideal for long cutting tasks. That said they are very decent for the price when you catch them at half off. For full price I would have sent 3 of them back. But for 18-20 dollars I can afford to use a belt sander to refinish the handles and reduce the sharpness of the rivets. then reseal the wood. This is not an option for most. But if I am buying a cheaper Chinese knife, I'd rather buy this then spend Japanese knife money on a Chinese made Dalstrong. Dalstrong might have better fit and finish. But when i spend 80- 300 dollars on a knife its generally made in Japan by masters. Not paying for hype. When they say you get what you pay for? Kitory is actually good for the price. Especially for 18-20 bucks. It's a lot of bang for the buck. The last kitory I bought before this was the serbian cleaver. Its not bad for 20 bucks. But the rivets are sharp, and the metal edges are sharp. This is the first Kitory that isnt that bad, However the metal is lower end for quality. But that makes it easier to sharpen if your new to sharpening then a very hard Japanese steel.

Super cheap.
Super cheap set. Looks like it was opened and sealed back shut with a piece of Scotch tape. Super bendy, and the performance sucks.

Light and nimble
I have a bigger, heavier, sturdier cai dao, but its size and weight make it less agile. I bought this cheap one to have a lighter, more agile alternative, and it delivered.Let's not kid ourselves, it's a $14 knife, and it shows. The handle is visibly cheap, but while it feels flimsy, it's firmly attached to the tang. There's not hint of wobble. The mystery steel is barely polished and has some very light discolorations, but it feels quite solid and it's adequately sharp out of the box. The blade is quite thin, which makes the knife lighter. It's also nicely balanced. It doesn't feel front-weighted or back-weighted.And that's where it shines. It's so light and balanced that it feels like you're using a taller nakiri, but with all the advantages of a cai dao. But because it's so light, you should use it only on non-frozen vegetables and boneless meats. If you need a very functional cai dao for light jobs and you're not looking to impress the audience with a spiffy luxurious knife, this is a great deal for the money. And by all that's holy and pure, don't scrape the blade sideways across the cutting board like they do in their video! That's how you dull or even damage an edge.

Nice, usable, inexpensive
[vegetable cleaver]I have seen Chinese cleavers of different kinds in Asian markets, with Chinese labels. I can recognize 'bone', 'meat'. Otherwise, I could not decipher the descriptions. Here are pictures and descriptions I can understand. This one is for cutting vegetables. For $20, it is a bargain. Sharp and easy to use. I am very satisfied.
