Fun novelty, not something I'd eat regularly
At $5 a cup, it's a lot more reasonable a price than the $9 that a lot of other reviewers are mentioning. Still, it's more of a novelty item rather than something I'd eat regularly. For the price, I can get better quality noodles for cheaper.I've had ramen and I've had tteokbokki separately, but I've never had them combined before. The texture is definitely more interesting than regular ramen, so I may buy more of the rice cakes and start adding them to my regular ramen dishes.

Not edible
Awful! Look I get what the word “hot” or “spicy” mean HOWEVER I could not get a 2nd fork of this down. They already include 35 different packets of powder you need to mix together to create this flavor (ok ok not 35 but you get my point) so whyyyyyyy can’t they put the spice in a separate packet and allow the consumer to choose the level of heat?! Right out the gate the heat level is INFERNO to where you can’t even taste any flavor. I’ll give the remaining 3 containers away but I’ll 10000% not be purchasing these again

Unique textures, amazing flavor broth ...
I really loved the flavor of the broth/seasoning it is slightly sweet and has some spicy flavor, but not anything burning or fiery. The texture is interesting and it is a fun experience to try this. I do like the meld of textures and the flavors. I like that there is a bit of chewiness instead of just a slurpable noodle, it makes it feel more like a meal and keeps you full. Definitely worth the experience and flavor, but it seems to boast of a more spicy flavor than what I felt it had. Overall, though I would absolutely recommend this and I would even buy it for a fun meal/experience again in the future.

Good in the Mouth, Not on the Wallet
Before I get too far into this; No, I did not receive an empty pack as the picture may make it seem, that will be explained later. I have a couple complaints to be sure, but for now I will give them their due compliments, which is mainly the flavor and quality. In terms of flavor this was a great experience, as it was not so spicy as to dull the slight sweetness of the sauce, which is probably pretty easy to do since a lot of Americans aren't as used to East Asian versions of "spicy." The noodles and rice cakes cooked easily as well, just be sure to mix it around while heating, since the amount of water needed will not cover everything, and will leave noodles uncooked if left completely alone.Unfortunately though, I have more negative things to say than positive. First let's get back to the picture I uploaded of the empty cup. The instructions say to fill to the line.....can you see it? Its in the bright/glaring part, since the only way to see the line is with some pretty extreme light/light angles. I thought this was a manufacturing defect until I held it at the angle shown, since just sitting on the counter there is no way to tell there's any line indent. This is hardly the end of the world, but what it doesn't help is the fact that I think this item is way too overpriced. This is 1 serving for ~10$, and the serving it makes is more like part of a meal, rather than the whole thing. Depending on where you live, it is probably very easy to find cheaper meals with higher quality than "from a microwave." In fact, where I live I can get Asian takeout for the same price, and that will both definitely fill me up with fresher ingredients, but also have less preservatives, sodium, and anything else that makes this shelf-stable for over a year.So really, this is not a bad product, its just bad for the price. The flavors are great, and preparation is easy (after finding the line,) the problem is 10$ is too much for half a meal, especially one from a microwave. If you're dead-set on this product and don't care about the price, I do think you'll be satisfied, I just can't personally recommend the purchase. 3/5

Fascinating, Moderately Spicy, and Very Filling!
This Korean Rabokki, Sweet and Spicy , microwavable meal is so interesting. I had never had Rabokki before, so interesting that it is a signature dish of Seoul. I'm glad to be able to try it. What stood out to me about this dish, I will mention. First of all, I would say this is more of a savory dish than sweet. It has a hint of sweetness too it, but not overwhelming. Also, it is rather spicy. I like spicy foods, I would rank this as medium hotness in terms of spice level, but a high medium. The humidity controlling packet they don't want you to eat, is sealed inside of the bag of rice cakes. (You can see easily in my photo what to look for and pull out before cooking.) The ramen noodles in this are delicate and exquisite once cooked. Something that confused me at first, is that they say to fill the cup with hot water to the marked "line" inside. I was expecting this to be towards the top of the cup, but it is a very faint line toward the middle part of the cup, I had to move aside the contents to see where this line fell. You are putting very little water into this cup, but it cooks it all perfectly. (I included a photo with an arrow pointing out where than line falls.) This meal is very, very filling by the way. The rice cakes don't have much flavor in and of themselves, but they are fun to chew, very moist and I think they add to the filling nature of this meal. This Rabokki meal that I ordered was just one single cup of ramen, not multiple cups. So, it seems expensive, and yet, worth the unique experience. Note: I think after trying this flavor and finding how spicy it was, I would be hesitant to order any flavor "hotter" than this. I do like this one though.
