One pic shows the pump is not flush with the rest of the lid to prevent accidentally pumping, but the bottles are not actually like this. Why is this?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. This is a rendering of the pressed down effect. The purpose is to protrude the surrounding non pressable parts, which means they will not be accidentally pressed out.

Does the bottom unscrew for cleaning? It looks like it might but I don’t want to break it!

Just unscrew the lid, push the plunger to the bottom and it is ready to clean. The bottom part of the pump is not removable.

Will TSA allow these via carry-on, since these do not have volumes indicated on the bottles??
