Works like a charm
Used yesterday to make a basic cheese. Followed my own recipe and everything worked just as expected. I used regular whole milk from the grocery store, added 5ml of calcium chloride.I may have added too much rennet, though. My recipe asked for 4ml for 5L, so I added 4ml in a gallon of milk. Next time I'll use less of the rennet and see if I can find a sweet spot (hard to believe 10 drops will do the trick, though, I used more like 50). But the cheese came out really good and at the right consistency.

A little goes a long way
A little goes a long way, but wish I had ordered 2 oz instead of 1 because of cost per oz. Works well, but it is a little hard to squeeze out, that is a good an bad. It prevents accidentally dumping too much too fast but can be hard to get a few drops out.

Beautiful mozzarrella using this product!
I have used this to make several batches of mozzarella, instead if my usual Fromase. Fromase is made from non-animal sources and is more stable when kept in freezer. Animal rennet works better at temperatures over 104°F. My mozzarellas were much better with this product. I used 1/4 teas per gallon, but the directions on the bottle only called for 3 drops. I followed the mozzarella recipe directions for liquid rennet. Very happy with this product.

product leaked, had no label, was packaged in a random bottle, and was the wrong color
This product is used to make cheese. It was impossible to determine if it was safe for human consumption or had been tampered with in some way when it arrived. The bottle used was not the one depicted on the Amazon page and was not properly sealed for shipment. The bottle had no label of any kind nor was there any kind of information inside the package. Contents leaked out into the shipping envelope. The liquid rennet should have had a yellowish color and was almost clear. There is no way I am putting this product into any cheese I make.

Maybe I got a bad batch?
Got it pretty quickly. I’ve never used rennet before, nor made a cheese that needed it, so I don’t know if it was the rennet or what, but my cheese didn’t turn out right. So I knocked a star off just for that simple possibility. Everything else about the purchase wassmooth and typical.

Better than our local rennet.
First batches of fresh cheese are great. The other batches are aging and only time will tell, but the rennet did its job. Local shop jacked up their prices prior to Covid, then only got worse. Great time to find a new vendor for my cheese habit.

Container leaks and rennet is weak
Great customer service. I contacted them about the product leaking in transit and that it didn't work. They sent out a second bottle, but it leaked and didn't work, either. I realized I had to double what the recipe called for. This isn't a product I would buy again.

Made a variety of cheeses with this...Successfully
Brand new to making cheese. I've used this to make mozzarella, Bovre and pepper cheese -- all set as the recipe said it would so I think this is a great rennet. I am using raw milk from my cow, not store bought milk.
