Manufactured in China, I find myself questioning the quality control standards and safety regulations during production. I wish I had the financial means to send water samples to a lab for testing to ensure no harmful chemicals are present.Affordability:On the brighter side, these filters are budget-friendly, making them a practical option for those looking to maintain clean drinking water without a significant financial investment. While they may not feel as high-end as some competitors, for the price point, they deliver adequate performance and serve their primary function effectively.Conclusion:In summary, the Ceramic Water Filter Element is a functional and affordable solution for anyone using Berkey water filters. While I am satisfied with the performance and ease of use, the Made-in-China aspect raises some valid concerns about the quality of materials. If you are someone who prioritizes budget over extra peace of mind regarding safety, these filters are a solid choice. However, if water quality is your utmost concern, you might want to consider investing in higher-end alternatives or, at the very least, ensure you follow up with further water testing to assuage any fears.Overall, they do the job—just tread carefully with your expectations.

These are pretty good aftermarket replacement rilter cartridges for gravity type water filter/dispensers like those made by Berkeley and other companies. The manufacturer of the gravity filter itself doesn't matter, these are essentially universal cartridges for those types of filters.These are the ceramic type cartridges but they have a carbon core, meaning that the ceramic element will filter out bacteria and sediment, while the carbon reduces chlorine and dissolved solids. Theorhetically these filter elements are supposed to make water from lakes and rivers potable.These cartridges cost about the same as others made by various manufacturers and I can't say for sure if these are any better than others but from what I can tell these cartridges should be just as good as an original cartridge from the filter manufacturer. I am satisfied with them.
