Race Day Electronics 3.5mm 2-Way Splitter

We went to a NASCAR race and bought 2 sets of headphones and a scanner to listen to the driver/crew talk. As advertised, this let us plug both headphones into the scanner so we could both listen. One thing that I should have realized was that by plugging in two headphones it would lower the volume to both headphones. I wasn't surprised when it happened, but didn't think about it before hand. Just be aware that only using one headphone somewhere where it is already noisy it will be louder than splitting it to two headphones.

Tried two of these - first one didn't work and Amazon replaced it. The second one didn't work either. I tried multiple sets of headphones (even ones made by Race Day) and NONE worked when fully plugged in. You could get it to work only by placing the plug into the jack halfway and holding it very carefully there. Plugging it in completely killed the sound. Returning it now for a refund.

I had some difficulty using this with a scanner and another headset. Both headsets wouldn't work at the same time. Maybe it was defective..... Maybe it was operator error, but how hard is it to plug in one end to the scanner and two headsets into the split part?? By unplugging one headset past the click, I was able to get it working in one ear on both headsets. Hopefully a new splitter will solve the problem.

The female jacks didn't fit properly and couldn't be fully seated with the headset jacks without losing most of the available volume. We almost couldn't hear the broadcast because full volume was very faint. I bought another splitter with a built-in amp and find it much more to my liking. I'll probably throw away the race day splitter.

Great product! Never had issues with these and after 5 yrs worth of use I am still using them.

It's great when you have a friend that you want to share your music or video streaming with without passing your headphones for sharing! Now you both can enjoy the same exact thing at the same exact time! Cool little gadgets like this get me every time! :') Amazing!

This is probably an ok splitter but the one I received didn't work properly, cutting overall volume by half. If I played around with the male plug, I could hear crackling. Thinking it is defective.

This item did not work. Cannot plug headsets all the way in because it shorts out. Please let me know how to return for refund or replacement thank you

The splitter didn't work well. I could only hear in one ear on each headset when I used it. Sometimes I could get it to work if I pulled the end out a little bit bit above all, I'm pretty unhappy with it.

This was GREAT for sharing our scanner at the NASCAR races!! Totally worth the money! Much less expense VS buying a second scanner! It also gave us something to talk about on the way home because we were listening to the same car!

Audio splitter cable works as expected.

Waste of money

These were cutting out every time you moved. Luckily they had some at the track that we purchased and had better results. Don't recommend these.
