Excellent doorbell
The camera has a clear picture and the ring sounds in the home as well as on the iPhone. At night, a light under the doorbell lights up allowing a brighter photo. The installation was straight forward. The only issue I had was hear the ring in the home. It turned out to be a setting on the phone. Once “electrical” 3-party was selected, everything worked great. It’s a great product and I rate it as a 5.

Save your money and time.
I bought the product because of it's 4K capabilities. The field of view is smaller than my old Ring Doorbell; it takes forever to upload videos for viewing; product has intermittent connection issues with my wifi. And today, my 3rd day of ownership, the device has gone offline and now I to do a re-install. I'm sorry I bought this product and am going to reinstall my 5-year old ring doorbell. It worked flawlessly without the above problems. This product has been a waste of my time.

Narrow field of view
Field of view is too narrow to the sides. It's really good top to bottom, but I don't need to see the ceiling! Set up was smooth took about 15-20 minutes.

Improved resolution and response
The Lorex 4k wifi 6 doorbell camera is definitely an upgrade from my previous Google Nest doorbell camera.Resolution and response with the doorbell camera has been improved dramatically.

Great camera but too narrow of a view
Rating it as 4 stars because of the specs, price, and it’s a godsend not to have a subscription tied to it. I’m taking off 1 stars though because of the 16:9 aspect ratio. I understand them going for the same aspect ratio as phones for a clearer live view, but unless your home has a narrow entry so you don’t need to see much, you’re better off with their 2k camera that has a 4:3 aspect ratio. For me, I have a wider entryway and want to see a wider view with the camera. The 16:9 was just too narrow for me. If anyone is considering this brand or camera, I can highly recommend it. The app is easy to use, supports continuous recording if you want to, you can swap out SD cards to a higher capacity one, and NO SUBSCRIPTION. I used a Google Nest Doorbell first gen that is pretty great, but ties any useful recording to a subscription.

Technical support is lacking - watch your Android version!
I bought this over a month ago for a new home construction. It was installed by my electrician. When I went to set it up, I was unable to connect to initialize. The one good thing about their customer support: I didn't have to wait long to talk to a real person. They walked me through a number of steps, resetting the device, and other troubleshooting steps to no avail. Then they wanted me to send a picture of the chime box and how it was wired to my mechanical chime, so I sent that. I called again and we went through the steps again, to no avail. Next they wanted a picture of my transformer, so I sent them a photo of my 16V 10VA transformer. I called back. They wanted me to start over resetting the device. By this time I had reset it 5 times and I wasn't about to do it again. So they asked me to send them a photo of a volt-ohm meter hooked up to the transformer to prove that it was generating 16V. This was all very challenging, since we weren't living at the house yet, so each time required a separate trip to the house to spend an hour on the phone. I sent them a photo of the VOM showing 18.9V, well within the 16V-24V required range. Then one of their tech guys says I needed a 16V 30VA transformer, not a 10VA. Nowhere in their literature or documentation does it say that it requires a 30VA transformer, but I was hopeful as this was the first suggestion that actually required doing something different than rebooting or sending pictures. I bought the transformer and paid my electrician to install it ($120). I rebooted the doorbell and the same problem: it would not connect. Then I had an idea. The phone I was using was an older phone and Google had stopped updating Android on it (it was on version 10). Normally apps will tell you if your Android version is not compatible, but the Lorex app never complained. So I tried it on a newer phone running Android 14. Voila it worked! So I was out 8 hours of my time and $120 on useless pursuits, when simply checking the Android version was all that was required. So I give it two stars due to the poor troubleshooting support and the headaches I had getting it to work. Perhaps that is harsh, but I will update the review after I’ve been able to use the device for a while now that I finally have it working.

A very good doorbell...switched from Blink to Lorex
I switched from the Blink doorbell to Lorex. In MY opinion, Lorex is much better. After using Blink for 3 years I upgraded and added the Blink doorbell-A big mistake. In order for the Blink doorbell to work the same as their cameras, I MUST pay for a subscription. (Not gonna happen). I did additional research and switched to Lorex.Pros: video quality is excellent. Motion sensing zones are much better (than Blink) with minimal (if any) false readings. It can distinguish between person, vehicle, animal. Tech support was always available with a "live" person. YES, you can save a video clip directly to your cell phone. Their app (so far) works well with my Iphone. Once it is set up to your specs, it works well.Cons: Set up was not really cut and dry. It took a while even with numerous calls to tech support.) Make sure you have a proper transformer. It will probably take some time to set up your zones. The best way is probably through trial & error. I thought set up directions were poor. I suppose you can knock it down a notch for the directions.Again, this is for a wired doorbell with NO SUBSCRIPTION. I haven't used their other cameras yet.

Viewing range / Angel is not as advertized, barely 110 deg
The viewing range (horizontal) is terrible. A small fraction of what i could see with other products. Tech support couldn't explain it, so I returned it and bought something cheaper that works great!
