Ants and other bugs can be annoying, but for most people just wish these to go away rather than be eliminated. And personally, would rather relocate an annoying fly or spider than exterminated them, seems a bit cruel.This is where a product such as this Crystal Opus Ant Repellent fills a niche. This comes neatly presented in a resealable plastic pouch containing the 200 ml bottle and a 20 ml bottle of highly concentrated peppermint-based oil. It is worth emphasising that this product is not just to discourage ants, but includes spiders, slugs, slugs, wasps, moths, rodents, foxes, cats & dogs, and others.Making up the solution is a simple process, just fill the 200 ml spray bottle with tap water. Then add the oil, 10 drops for each 100 ml of water, 20 drops in all. Drops flow out rapidly - good luck counting them!Operating the spray repellent is straight forward, just move the locking lever, and commence spraying in required area. The spray comes out as a very fine mist, with a powerful albeit pleasant aroma of cloves and peppermint. I could see ants running away from the area as it was sprayed, they clearly do not like this stuff. However, it doesn’t harm them – a win-win all round.I would surmise that this treatment will only work until washed away by the next rainfall, but there is plenty of solution to make up to replenish treated areas.Overall, thoroughly recommend this Crystal Opus Ant Repellent product to humanely discourage various insects, other bugs and animals from locations that require protection.

I live in a flat and there tend to be quite a few insects (moths and spiders) that like to sit on my flat door and then fly/crawl inside when I open the door.I tried using this solution on my door to keep the insects from congregating there.So far, it’s seemed to have worked pretty well.It’s easy to mix up by just dropping some of the oil in the bottle, adding water and shaking it up.
The spray bottle delivers a good, even coverage and there’s a little “lock” on the trigger to keep it closed when done. The smell is really nice, so I haven’t had any complaints from the postie. The spray also dries quickly.I’ve been reapplying every week and it seems to be keeping the bugs from the door. The bottle seems like it will last a long time, it will certainly last until this year's bug season is over.Since it’s just essential oils, I don’t think it will go off. The only issue is the tap water might spoil (grow mould), which has happened with other cleaning products I’ve used where you add tap water to a concentrated solution and mix. So I’m only making about a quarter bottle each time to prevent this.

I was looking for a natural alternative to something such as ant traps, as we have an area in our kitchen where the little suckers keep coming in, but I didn't want to kill them.This seemed like a great alternative. You use a few drops in water, shake and spray. There was an odour to this spray, and while the ants were crawling, it did deter them when we first sprayed it on. Fast forward a few hours, and they little **** (insert your own term here) were back. Literally, a couple of hours after using.I don't want to keep watching for when the ants are invading and keep respraying. Yes, it initially worked but was disappointed with how effective it was long term. I will keep reapplying, as it says that regular respraying is needed for extended use and I'll rescore accordingly, if my results are different. I was just disappointed that it didn't keep them at bay for very long.

Well if I could judge this product on smell alone I'd give it 5 Stars, I got some on my hands and it's almost good enough to use as a body spray! Laughably I suppose it couldn't hurt, it's only essential oils mixed with water, even my ants smell like they're getting ready for date night! Whether they will find it as irresistible as I do, the verdict is still out.Mixing the product is easy enough, just put the required amount of drops into the spray bottle and fill it with 200ml of water before giving it a shake. I'm not a fan of this spray bottle personally as the top kept coming undone when I was pressing the trigger spray but that's a minor niggle.Unfortunately it rained soon after I used this so I think I need to do a bit more spraying before I can say definitively whether it works or not, failing that it might help me get a date... 😁

For some reason our kitchen is quite often almost over run by ants. They get everywhere and for obvious reasons, head straight to the fruit bowl and veg tray on the worktop.This spray is perfect as we hate killing any living creature and liberally applying this around that area really does seem to put them off. One or two more brave and adventurous little critters sometimes stay longer and try to ignore the odour but even they can't stand it for long and eventually leg it.Thankfully for us, the smell is sort of minty and is very pleasant. It's great that this solution is of no harm whatsoever to humans which means it can be used anywhere.With a little planning it may be possible to guide the ants somewhere else altogether - we are working on that very plan...This is great value for money as well as it makes so much spray out of the small bottle and comes as a very neat set.All round, great stuff.
