Q: Will these break if i freeze them?

Just tested this, they will not break when freezing. I left a 1” gap at the top to allow for expansion and froze it in an upright position. Freezing at 100% full would probably be a bad idea for any container. I also tried it in a preposterous and risky upside down position, and, while there appeared to be the tiniest frozen droplet that pushed out of the drinking nozzle, there was no breaking or stress. So, I’d say these are a safe choice for freezing in any position. They are rather soft and forgiving plastic, not that hard stuff from the 90s, so I was willing to test it out; no surprise to me that they did good. I hope this helps!

Q: Can you put the 20 ounce Gatorade water bottle in? Its about 9.5 inches tall and diameter is about the same?

You could empty the contents of the Gatorade bottle into it but not the Gatorade bottle itself.

I filter all my water and did not experience any different taste caused by the bottles
