Better than Garmin HR sensor (So far)
I purchased Wahoo heart rate censor to replace my Garmin sensor. I have two issues with Garmin's: (1) you have to unscrew the case to replace the battery, and the quality of the screws were not good, which made replacing the battery unnecessarily complicated, (2) the connection with my Garmin Edge 530 was not stable (sometimes the sensor wasn't recognized by Garmin's own cycling computer!) (3) There's no indicator that gives information about the status (active, connecting...). This makes the battery life longer, but, together with shaky connection, it was impossible to know what is going on, when it is not recognized.I used for several times so far... my impression has been very good. (1) Obviously I haven't replaced the battery, but the cap for the battery can be easily opened with a coin, which is a huge advantage over Garmin. (2) I did a couple of cycling wrides ith Garmin Edge 530, a run and a tennis session with Apple Watch. In both times, the connection has been very stable and reliable. Wahoo sensor was immediately linked to Garmin Edge 530 (via ANT+) or Apple Watch (via Bluetooth). (3) The LED indicators are very useful in knowing the status of the sensor. I am sure that the battery life is shorter due to the indicators, but the batteries are so cheap I don't mind. And as I mentioned above, replacing a battery is a breeze.A couple of more comments: In terms of accuracy, I compared with the heart rate log by Garmin and the long by Wahoo when I ride the same course, and they reported very similar numbers, so I think they are both accurate. The elastic band is very similar in terms of material. Both are comfortable, and easy to adjust.I think this is a much better product than Garmin, and am happy that I switched. I might update after using a few months.

Great Customer Service
after 2 months, it’s getting not working from time to time. as the time go by, the number of the error is getting severe. Finally, i can’t use it any more after 4 months. i have changed batter every months also. don’t buy this one and it’s so stressful to use it.The above is my previous comments. After I contacted the customer support from Wahoo, I got the new one and it worked fine. They are so nice and fast.First of all, I can use the previous one also after I found where the sensor is and clean it up.Please, not you should know where the sensor is and clean it up periodically and then it will be no problem.

Absolute garbage quality
Bought this a while back (two of them actually) to use for DDP Yoga seeing as this is the same brand he recommends. It’s one of the few that seem to work flawlessly with the app itself. That’s about as much praise as I can give this cheap garbage plastic. It lasts out of the box for maybe about 40 hours of non-continuous use over a month or so. When you have to change the battery the first time, that’s when you start to realize how poor the quality is on this hunk of junk. First the battery door, this is hands down one of the dumbest designs. The cheap soft plastic gets damaged when you use a coin, screwdriver, etc to open the door. This may not be too big of an issue except the jagged pieces of plastic dig into your bare chest when you wear it. Then when you replace the battery and try to close the door, it no longer stays shut. It hasn’t stayed connected to a session through even the most minor movements since the first battery died. The battery cover pops open with minimal jarring. Then there’s the accuracy of this piece of crap. You’ll be 107 BPM at rest but then 81 BPM when you’re mid-workwout. I’d say the accuracy is close to +/- 50BPM which makes this a $50 piece of plastic that serves no real purpose. If it wasn’t for the connectivity to the DDPY app, I’d never even look at this company’s products ever again.

Fragile battery cover and no replacement parts.
UPDATE: The Wahoo customer service sent me a replacement cover, so we're good! I don't know why my experience was different than other folks, but I'm glad it was.I had to change the battery on my Wahoo TICKR. I recently purchased one for my spouse (and I wish I hadn't) and I purchased my first one in February 2022.I have some issues. While taking off the battery cover with a coin a bit of plastic fell out. I found out that it was one of the cover attachment pins. Once I replaced the battery, the cover would not close securely so there is no signal to my bike computer. It is basically dead. I have a support request to see if I can get a replacement cover. Multiple people have posted that Wahoo does not sell replacement covers. I dislike disposable electronics and I find this to be reprehensible as a consumer. It is a little bit of plastic that is already in mass production. For the love of all that is holy, sell replacement parts instead of sending things to the dump. I'm not happy as I'm out $50. If the support team sends me a new cover, I'll change my review. I do not have high hopes due to other complaints.Second, the battery corroded. I'm guessing that the seal on the battery cover is not great. Sweat probably entered the product and made it corrode as there was other nastiness in there too.Inside the battery area, there is no indicator of positive and negative alignment. You have to remember how you removed the battery. Which I did the first time, but when I took it apart the second time to troubleshoot, I wasn't as careful. If you install the battery backwards it resets the device. Those pins are too fragile and $50 is too expensive for a device that doesn't have replacement parts.

Wahoo TICKR is a great upgrade from my Polar strap
I was kind of getting tired of my Polar H7 failing to reliably and quickly pair with my Apple Watch. Was not very familiar with Wahoo but the reviews seemed positive for the TICKR. It's so much better! Night and day. I never worry about pairing. I think Wahoo is just using more up-to-date hardware or Bluetooth or something. I can even use it with the Polar strap in a pinch, though it doesn't quite snap in easily. I have not used the Wahoo app that I've seen mentioned. Just paired to the Watch out of the box and no looking back.

No frills, solid unit
I picked the Wahoo over Polar and Garmin as already have the ELMNT bike computer and I like the feel of the whole Wahoo vibe. I had the MK1 HRM but it got lost in a house move, so was happy to upgrade. The lights are a welcome addition to indicate Bluetooth connection & HR being detected! Done a few gym sessions with the HRM so far and its performed as expected. Solid. Need to remember to wet the two sensors on the belt to help with conductivity. Unit seems to be bang on for accuracy, it's comfortable and well put together like the rest of the Wahoo product set. Looking forward to taking it out on the bike and putting it thru the paces for a few hours.
