Does the job!
I would never in a million years have gotten my old family photos scanned in without this, and it works great.Very speedy, even at 600 DPI. Quality of scans excellent. Easy to feed photos. Has a pocket for curled, crumbly, torn, etc., photos, but I seldom had to use it - it was very forgiving and accepted almost everything I fed it.My one annoyance is that after every scan it popped Windows Explorer to the top to show the folder that was scanned to - I was doing other stuff while I scanned and did not want to be interrupted, even though I did look at a scan from time to time to make sure the quality was still good.I have only scanned to the computer, as it's convenient for me to set up the netbook and the scanner on the kitchen counter - that way I don't have to transfer them off the card later. It's easy to install the software and to set up different folders for different categories of photos.Actually, now that I think of it, the best reason to scan to a computer instead of directly to the included SD card is to be able to spot check the quality easily. After all, I'm going to have to put them on cards or external drives for backup. I didn't have to rescan any, but it would be just my luck that if I *didn't* check, something would get messed up....!I'm an extremely happy camper with, so far, 146 old pics safely on the computer - in just a couple of hours and while I was doing other stuff at the same time, not lifting the lid of a flatbed up and down.

Wrong power cord
Obviously was a returned item. Has an incorrect power cord in the double taped box - and no information about customer service. Can't even begin to use it to give a true review of the product. Very dissatisfied considering the cost!

Replaced the previous Pandigital which was an A model this is a B model. It works as expected and hopefully will stand up to wear and tear of daily usage.
