Fatal Fiction: A Seaside Cottage Books Cozy Mystery (Snug Harbor Mysteries Book 4)

I loved losing myself among the pages of this latest story. Karen Macinerney has the ability to transport me in the worlds she creates and, even with a murder taking place, it is always hard to close the book at the end. I always feel that I NEED another paragraph, another page, another chapter, before leaving the characters to "live their life" until next time, always craving to get more details about them and the life in Snug Harbor.This time again, the story is great, the characters so likeable and the setting is perfect!*sigh* until next time...Highly Recommended!

I always highly anticipate each new release in the Snug Harbor series, but Fatal Fiction knocked it out of the park! I was pulled in with the very first chapter, and literally forgot to do anything but read it! I love that this series is built upon a strong, confident, female protagonist, Max. The mysteries she encounters are believable and keep the reader guessing -always! Max encounters more than one mystery as she helps her friend Denise with a remodeling project. Are they related? Well, that would be mystery #3! Family is important to Max, and I love that family dynamics and real life human issues also star in this book. History, mystery, secret compartments, and long buried secrets; sprinkle in some tasty treats (recipes included), family and friends, and you have the perfect ingredients for a cozy delight! If you love cozies, Fatal Fiction is a MUST READ.

Max and best friend Denise are hard at work remodeling Denise's sea side coffee house when the two are digging up a dead rhododendron. Only to leave a set of bones tangled in the roots.This is just the beginning of my favorite summer read. I literally stayed up all night to get to the end.Did I mention there was a murder at the library, and Bethany's boyfriend is looking like suspect number one.Will Max and her murder sleuthing crew be able to solve the who did it and save Devan from the iron bracelets for life.Also, making a first-time appearance is the loveable Mr. Whiskers. He is sure to leave a paw print on your heart.

Reading about Snug Harbor is like vacationing in Maine, smelling (and feeling) the ocean breeze, visiting a local bookstore and enjoying a seafood dinner! All my favorite Maine memories wrapped up in one book! Looking forward to the next book in the series!

I have loved every book in this series but think this is the best one yet! I loved the characters, the settings, the food descriptions, the twisty mystery was fantastic! I loved the ending and I can’t wait to read the next book!!!

I enjoyed reading book 4 in this series.Max is a strong character and I liked how her daughter and her mother worked with her to unravel the mysteries.I'm looking forward to the next book.
