Epic, especially if yuu liked the first one (because this has even more~)
i'm pretty sure i already reviewed this, but let's go! xDI feel like i should note that i've been waiting for this game to come out since i first heard that it was going to be releasing in Japan, so i've been waiting quite awhile xD and it doesn't disappoint. So the game itself is really cool. They took all the best parts from the first game, and made it even cooler. Firstly, there's the new Quest Medley mode, which replaced the Chaos Shrine mode from the first one. I like this because it's different and it tries to bring back the RPG feel that the Final Fantasy series was.And they gave you 10? extra playable characters from the start if there was save data from the Curtain Call demo. There's also more playable characters than from the first one (like Cloud's Advent Children module, and Rinoa Heartilly), and more songs available (like from Crisis Core, AC, FF Crystal Chronicles, and etc.) The DLC's for this game are also pretty cool, but i wish i could preview what the song is before i buy it (the characters give a headshot at least). Or mabey there is a way to preview the song DLC before you buy it and i just didn't notice xDThere's also a CollectaCard Crystarium, but i personally don't really use it. (and probably won't, except for trying to get all the trophies). Let's see..differences..oh and in this there's FOUR different styles of play! no longer do you have to only use the stylus (although of course that's still an option. It's called Stylus style.) There's also Button style (which uses A or L/R instead of taps/holds, and the circle pad for arrows), Hybrid Style (which is the one i most often use- uses the circle pad for arrows, and stylus for taps/holds (or the other way around).), and One-Handed style (use only the L and circle pad. It's not too hard once you get used to it, depending on your skill, and difficulty of the song. Personally I could do One-Handed Style and get an SS on most songs on basic or expert, but not ultimate.)oh and the VS mode is really awesome. It has EX Bursts which affect the normal songplay (like changing the speed of the notes, or making judgement harsher, etc). Everything else yuu'll just have to see for yourself and enjoy~ Now let's talk about the packaging xD Contents:--Collector's Edition box =p (because i felt the art is worth mentioning lol)--Collector's Edition 3ds case (which fits XL and 3ds, & inside is felt. also has room for a few items in the top part of the case)--Theatrhythm: Best Of cd (20 tracks- i won't list all of them cuz i'm lazy)--Theatrhythm Remix CD (5 tracks- and this cd comes with the Limited Edition version as well)--5 Premium CollectaCards (yes, just like from the game). I'm think they're the same 5 (not a random 5), but mine were [Zack, Yuna, Edgar, Y'Shtola, and Ramza]--Theatrhythm Curtain Call, of course. (in an extra slip case/box on top of the normal 3ds game case)The first thing i personally noticed was that the Best Of CD came in a case with 2 disc capability, but all 20 tracks fit onto one cd, which i thought was wierd since they gave a 2-disc case for one cd. I emailed Square Enix and then researched via forums and google (not pro i know but it's good enough for me to get answers :p)- and the most common answer is that they made it a 2-disc case so that you could put the 5-track remix cd along with it (so it's in a hard case and not a paper one.), which sortof makes sense, but then why not do that in the first place for Collector's Editions?anyway, everything for me came in factory sealed and i think i bought used? i don't even remember xD But i really liked getting the Collector's Edition <3 definitely worth it if yuu like the game and it's extras like me~

I am writing this review 3 days or so after my package got to my domicile. It came with only a slight ding on one side which I might have caused myself attempting to open it)but no other war wounds besides! A week or 2 earlier than stated no less, REALLY WOW by the way!Thank you for a fantastic delivery and a fantastic rpg/music rhythm game.ps, and if you neither enjoy rpgs or guitar hero rhythm games this is not going to be a game you'll enjoy.test it out on gamefly or whatever service exists
