The base is one solid piece. Then you have the removable inserts to catch any ashes and where the incense cone sits. When putting it all together, it feels like the top dome is held on the base through a magnet which I think is a great idea. I want to mention the great customer service, this was a replacement and everything was handled well this time. Thank you so much! Love this design and colors! Blessings to you!

Really beautiful incense burner with some cover. It creates a nice swirl of smoke around the top as it rises if the air is still.The top is held by magnets to a metal ring along the top of the burner, which is nice - you don't have to worry about knocking the top off easily.It has an inner ash tray and vented try for cones to rest on. You could also rest a coal here for using agarwood or resin (I just used self burning Bakhoor I got from Dubai so far).I would recommend having the factory revise packing method to add some additional padding between the lid and the base. It comes assembled in box with just a piece of foam and outer bubble wrap. Or at least put a fragile marking on the outside so Amazon knows to wrap the item in paper appropriately.Luckily mine came in perfect condition. I imagine these have no problem shipping from China to a retail store in a full carton of 6-12 pieces with another outer box around them all, but allowing this small box to tumble around and be crushed with other items in a consolidated Amazon box is a problem. (Partly Amazon's fault with the way they throw random things in a box, now just with wadded paper... so something that needs to be fixed with the item packaging).

The item's packed with bubble wrap around it, and none between the top and base. The first one sent to me was chipped on the base's lip, but fortunately the second one is in good shape. It has some clever features you don't normally see in incense burners. The lip on the top is magnetic, so it clamps on neatly to the base. It won't get knocked off that easily by wagging dog tails or strong breezes. And, unlike plenty of others I've tried, the metal cup can be removed for cleaning/emptying, as well as the little sieve.Overall, I'd love to give it five stars, but it really needs a little more than just one bubble-pop bag around all of it. A little padding between the top and bottom will prevent anything getting damaged during transport.

I really like this burner kit. This is not only for bakhoor but you can use variety of incense in it. It's made with good material. The top has a magnetic ring that keep the dome stick to the base. It's beautiful and well crafted so you can use it for a decorative purpose too. It didn't come with the instructions although its easy to use but if you are a first time user you need a little bit instructions how to use it. Overall, I like this incense burner kit.

Just as other reviews have said, it’s broken. As soon as I opened the box the edges were all broke. I had all the pieces so I glued it back together. But, even broken it still is very beautiful and works great! I don’t have anymore frankincense resin, so for now I’ll use my cone incense instead! I really really like this design and the features on the inside. Having the 2 little cups is great for keeping it clean!

This is an absolutely beautiful incense burner for the home very well-made has a great appearance. Good size doesn’t put off very much heat that smells terrific and his high-quality. I love the magnetic closure.

...but I never got to try it. Both times it was damaged. The damage is not due to the shipper. It due to the product not packed properly in the box by the manufacturer. That is why so many reviews point out chips in the ceramic top and base. Order at your own risk. Good luck!

very well made. magnetic cover stay safely in place, large size and good weight to it. The best burner i have so far.
