For researchers and serious history buffs
The title says it all. If you study or are (deeply) interested in the subject, this is the definitive book to buy.

Scholarly, humourous and good source of information
The first smirk came when opening the cover " Good News Studies" - I hope to publish for a similarly optimistically named publisher some day. The good news is that it's also a book written by a good scholar. As an archaeologist, I was more interested in the ' archaeology' part than connections with biblical texts or figures (I'll admit to have mostly skipped over this). I was looking more for references on Corinthian bronze and the texts that mention them. This is a very informative little book, the writing style made me smile at times ...it for some reason works on my sense of humor. For the information I needed, I found it a product of good scholarship and helped me to find references (that I checked) that I otherwise would have overlooked.

It provides great insights into the role of Corinth in the Early Church.
I recently visited Corinth and wanted to learn more about its role in the Early Church; this book is a great resource.

Poor print quality
(My comment is on the printing quality of the book NOT on the book's content per se.)Extremely poor printing. This is a defective item in this state (IMO).Printing is off by a page so that page numbers are located on the inside of the book, near the binding. Also several key sketches/diagrams are pixelated and of such poor quality that you cannot read them.
