it seemed like the book was just telling me things I already ...
I was really excited to read this book since I've read every single pro cycling book written in English, and I had raced against this team for several years. However, it seemed like the book was just telling me things I already knew. Maybe the author should have told the stories that Williams and Hyde were talking about, they seem like great story tellers.

The ins and outs of the real professional cycling financial universe.
The struggles of finding sponsors and despite a big budget the team was very successful. They were very determined to be well organized but against all odds they overcame circumstance.

Excellent read.
What a great insight for someone who has never raced at that level and always wondered what it is like.

Loved it!
I wasn't totally sure what I was getting when I ordered this book...but it was on sale at VeloNews so I took a chance.I've been around the sport for a long time and read lots of books about cycling and racing but I was pleasantly surprised how much i enjoyed this. I always enjoy behind the scenes type books and this gives your a real feel for what it's like to not only ride on an American Pro team but also what it takes to form and manage a team and most importantly...keep it financially solvent by finding and keeping sponsors happy. The only thing missing was a couple of photos of the team; even a few B&W shots would have been nice. But if you like bike racing I think you'll really enjoy this....I did.
