The smell is nice & lingering & it's actually an effective fabric softener! So, the combo of fabric softener AND scent booster is a MAJOR economical win! Buttttt they don't dissolve as well as the regular scent boosters, especially in cold water. I always end up with some of the white beads (which I'm assuming are the "softener" ones) left over in the machine. SO, that's a drawback, but not horrible, since they're still effective.

I only use a small amount but my loads are small and everything is on cold except for bedding and towels. I use Downey softeners always and just a little added bonus for freshness I love these beads ! Lasts long enough for me since I do wash daily so my clothing always smells fresh, not perfumed smelling!
