Kid's 574 V1 Peanuts Hook and Loop

My little dude is particular. The texture of his shirts, the fit of his trousers, even the color of his foods...all need to be in his Goldilocks-zone. They all need to be just right. It's important that he's comfortable. This challenge presents itself often during his toddler years. Updating gear that fits comfortably seems to be a full time job for his mom and I. Wild Bill plays for keeps, so when we opened these box of shoes you can imagine the stress we were feeling. I stood stiff in a corner while his mom nervously fastened the Velcro straps. First the left...then, the right. She jumped back into my corner as though she'd just lit the fuse to an adorable stick of dynamite.As he stood in the center of history's coldest kitchen, time stopped. Beading sweat froze to my brow as his mom whispered "what do you think buddy?"He blinked twice, and smiled.5 stars baby. 5 enthusiastic stars.

I'm so happy with these shoes. They're cushioned (but not overly so like the gel insoles) and have arch support. The bottom has good traction, which my daughter wants for climbing slides. My favorite thing is the velcro flap design - it's genius! She's able to put them on herself because she doesn't have to loosen the usual velcro straps. On top of everything, they're adorable for a boy or girl. My daughter loves them, and I definitely recommend them.

These are excellent shoes for active kids. I really appreciate the size (half sizes and width options) and cute color color options that New Balances provides. I ordered the Pink/Blue for my four-year old daughter and she loved them right out of the box: 'These look like FAST shoes!' She is very active and spends a lot of time outside in our background and at the playground, these are very sturdy but not bulky. She can get them on herself without any drama. Sizing seems just as expected. They may run a tad narrow, so if you're on the fence, get the wide. Overall a little pricey but a good quality, solid shoe.

These are my daughter's favorite color and they are velcro so she can get them on by herself. Another plus to these is that each shoe has a different picture on the sole of the shoe so she can more easily tell the left from the right. They have held up pretty well, she's had then for a while now, the grey fabric near the toe of the shoe does pill a bit after some time, but I just pick off the pills NBD. They're pretty durable.

I love the style of the shoe, super cute, my daughter seems to feel pretty comfortable walking in them. I did expect them to be a bit larger, since I’ve bought other shoes in a size 4 and they weren’t as small or tight. A half size would have been great but i didn’t want to size up an entire size. Still super cute shoe and have gotten a lot of compliments on them.

I got wide because my sons feet are VERY WIDE. We have so much trouble finding him shoes. These are so cute and he loves them. I only wish I would have sized up a half size so he can wear them longer. Will continue to buy this style, as they are the only shoes we can find that fit!

I got the wide shoes for my daughter and they fit perfect with her ankle braces! They are easy to get on and off with the Velcro closure. I’d recommend them even without braces.

These shoes fall apart too quickly for this price. Jan, Feb and maybe part of March they were great and then the velcro separated from the shoe top. My son’s foot is twisting and coming out of the shoe because they no longer close correctly. Not okay.
