MOBI Ultra Pulse Digital Thermometer for Baby, Kids & Adults – Ear & Forehead, Pulse Monitor, Talking Voice, Fever Alert, Flashlight, Fast & Accurate Multi-Function Health Monitor

As I am sight challenged, I need machines that talk to me, since I can't see what the screens say. This thermometer does just that. However, what I don't understand is how the time says the right time in English and French, however, it's off by about 11 or 12 minutes (Usually 11 or 12 minutes too fast) when reading in Spanish. For example, When the time is 7:50 PM, it says the right time in English and French, but it says that it's 8:11 PM in Spanish! What's even weirder is that it sometimes says that my temperature is 93.1 degrees Fahrenheit. That can't be right, as that would mean I'm cold! James at Mobi Technologies was kind enough to send me a replacement back in January. However, it does the same thing about a month after I got it. I mean, it reads accurately for a while, then goes down low or up high. Even after having it out at room temperature for half an hour, and even after recalibrating the machine, it sometimes does those silly shenanigans! Stranger still, when I got the replacement, part of the plastic that holds the screen in place (not the sticker, but the plastic on the sides) is loose. This usually happens when I press the forehead scan button. Then I have to press the plastic screen back in, every time! Grrrrrrrrrrrr that is such a pain in the butt for me! How can that happen with a replacement. What's even better is I'm helping the folks at Mobi by sending suggestions for future improvements. For example, in addition to forehead and ear scans, they can put in underarm (in your armpit) scans, oral (under your tongue) scans, nasal (inside your nostrils) scans, and rectal (in your bottom) scans. Also, I've asked them if it's possible to add more languages, like German, Italian, Chinese, and Japanese. Better yet, I'm hoping they'll make the clock a talking clock, so that even those like me who can't see can easily set the clock. Also, I've asked them to update the buttons so that in addition to the forehead scan, ear scan, set, and talk buttons, they can put buttons for the aforementioned new scan additions, and arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, and Right), to make changing settings easier for the sight challenged. And, hopefully in a future version, they'll make it so the screen won't come loose when you press the forehead scan button! I still give this thermometer a solid 5 stars! How about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars!

Two of my friends have this product and they love it so I bought one. I like the product it’s easy to use and it provides accuracy of the temperature. In addition the light enhancement makes it easier to see.

Easy enough to use, checks both pulse and temperature, quite accurate, good price.

I was always skeptical about digital thermometers, but this one has been accurate every single time I use it and it’s great for testing while trial is sleeping.

Purchased this thermometer for someone whose blind because it talks. They only drawback is that you can change the mode to give room temp and body temp. It would be beneficial if the "mode" would read out loud, since it's easy for someone whose visually impaired to accidentally push the wrong mode while trying to turn it on.

Purchased two of them and they both give different and incorrect temperatures. I have another brand that I’ve used for years, and wanted a back up, and another for a second location. My original one works and gives the correct temperature. When I tried these, they both gave temperatures that were not only several degrees lower than your actual temperature, but they were also consistently almost 3 degrees different from each other when tested at the same time and location, every time. Not a trustworthy product, especially if using with kids, which I imagine is why most people would purchase. My son had a fever of 102+ and they both gave me readings at 99 and under, and when I checked against myself, although my actual temperature was 98.7, they gave me readings of 95 degrees and under.
