Paco a l'Opera (Livre sonore) 16 musiques a ecouter: 11 musiques à écouter

As an introduction to music, it is a very frustrating book. I bought three different models (opera, mozart and instruments), because of good reviews. I regret doing so and strongly advise against buying.1) Musical excerpts are very short (and in some cases too loud). You don't get complete musical ideas. Less than 10 seconds of Mozart it is not enough for fruition. Simply does not work, even as an appetizer.2) Buttons, for a small child, are almost impossible to press. An adult will have to press to buttons and the child will be frustrated for not being able to do so. My son (1 and 1/2 years) has other musical books. He enjoys being able to activate such books himself, but in this case that is not possible.3) In Mozart and Instruments, but fortunatelly not in this book, in addition to musical buttons, there are buttons with horn sounds, "animal" sounds and others senseless noises. It is a huge distraction. These other buttons fight for the child's attention and prevent concentration on the music. They will introduce your children to the world of noise, and not to the world of music. That is the main defect of this book. This alone is enough reason enough to really throw the book in the garbage.4) Pages are thin. The book certainly won't resist for very long.

We love the Poppy/el Paco series! Our two year old daughter is obsessed with them...It's a wonderful way to teach your child various musical genres and instruments, and to introduce them to some of the classics! The buttons are relatively easy to push, and the music is nice and loud (it doesn't skimp out on sound at all.)We currently have 5 of them and will definitely end up getting them all.

Love these books-such a great way to introduce the little ones to different music genres. Though my daughter is only 8 months old she's captivated by the music and cartoons. Highly recommended.

Les livres Paco sont les preferes de notre fille de 11 mois. Le seul probleme est qu'il faut appuyer assez fort sur les 'touches' pour lancer les sons.

I have bought several of these books for my daughter, and as presents for other children, and I love the music. However, this one stopped working after only a couple of months of use - the music cuts out after a few notes. Very disappointed and unable to get a refund!
