After just a couple days my skin started to flake, redden and break out all at the same time.Since I rarely get blemishes anymore I backtracked and went to check the ingredients. The culprit is listed towards the end of the ingredient list, dimethicone. Dimethicone is a silicone that forms a seal on the skin. The seal locks moisture in but it also locks bacteria in... Whenever my face breaks out from new skin care products dimethicone is usually the problem. Not to mention, it's bad for the environment.So while I had high hopes for this retinol cream, it turns out that it is not for me. I also think that it is overpriced at $48 given the rather standard ingredients and the very small 0.7 Oz tube.

This is a great eye cream and a little goes a long way with this product because it contains retinol. It works well for my skin. I have noticed that the fine undereye lines look a bit smoother after using this product consistently for about a month. Just make sure to wear SPF!
