Supremely comfortable, good quality and easy to fit casual strap. Recommended
I am a watch enthusiast and have many straps and bracelets costing hundreds of pounds, but this Barton strap is one of the most comfortable I have ever worn. It has a casual, ‘summer beach’ sort of feel and it can give a modern casual vibe to many styles of watch regardless of price. It is a light, tough waterproof strap with a simple quick release mechanism. For the price it is difficult to fault. Recommended.ProsOverall performance for the price is excellent.Comfort. I find this to be a seriously comfortable strap. It is one of the few straps I have used at less than £300 where I never find myself fiddling with it because of slight comfort issues.General quality. For the price the stitching is good quality with a good buckle. The holes are reinforced.Easy to fit. The quick release bars work fine. I have fitted it to watches costing between £800 and £1200.Fast drying. I wear a watch 24/7 so it gets regularly soaked and it dries within a couple of minutes on the wrist.Suits many styles of watch. The strap design sits between being staid and a little formal to casual beach style and therefore can be used to dress down more formal dress style watches to enhancing casual funky watches.Excellent hot weather strap. This strap is very cool on the wrist in hot weather.ConsSome colours such as blue do quickly fade a bit but this can enhance to look depending upon your needs. I have a black strap that has not faded. Some may consider that the adjustment holes are a little rough and ready but they are well sized and don’t detract from the overall look of the strap. Some may consider the strap a little rigid or hard, however it does loosen up if you soak it a few times. Personally I think the slight inflexibility is what gives it a good fit to the wrist and enhances its comfort.

Great looking strap suits my bronze diver perfectly.
So far very happy with my choice of strap, the khaki colour matches my bronze diver absolutely perfectly. Now let us get down to the strap review.Comfort firstly I was pleasantly supprised to find the strap very comfortable straight out of the box no breaking in required it was comfortable to wear all day long. So no problems here. The finish and build quality I found very good for the price point. The attention to detail on the stitching is excellent all perfectly straight with reinforcement around the sizing holes for extra durability. The brushed stainless steel buckle is also of good quality and matches the style of strap perfectly. The quick release spring bars are always a bonus providing they are of a decent strength and quality finish and these seem fine.As for the longevity of the strap and quick release spring bars only time will tell but I honestly can't forsee any problems. Now for the negatives, this will be quick as I can't find any just one or two little niggles. Firstly and this is not a fault of the strap but I would have liked to have seen these with different buckle finishes for example polished, brushed and PVD coated. Not quite a deal breaker but mine would have looked better with a black PVD coated buckle to match the crown. I would have liked the strap to be a little thicker but having said that it probably would not be as comfortable and would also cost a little more. Still on the fence with the thickness as I would not like to trade it for the comfort factor.Just to summarise these straps are excellent for the money in all the areas that matter the most, I am just hoping I can say the same in time for the longevity of the strap. I will update with some more thoughts after I have owned this strap for enough time to test it properly.I can see several more of these beauty's on the horizon to complement some of my other watches. Thanks for taking the time to read my little review. Regards Gary...

Great quality fabric strap
I had recently bought a GWG-1000 Mudmaster G-Shock, and despite liking the overall toughness and wrist presence of the stock strap, it was starting to become quite uncomfortable on my wrist.I came across Barton watch straps from a YouTube video, where the reviewer had chosen to replace his very own Mudmaster with one of these straps.I decided to buy the Canvas strap, as I wanted to have a strap that could be used for indoors and non-exercise related activities.I specifically decided upon the Navy Blue colour, as it would not fade away as easily as some of the lighter colours that other people have bought and reviewed, and also because it contrasts very nicely with the Mudmaster watch itself. The Canvas strap definitely takes some time to wear in, but once it is all set it feels very comfortable on the wrist and looks great.

Cheer up that old watch with the best straps out there!
This is my third Barton strap, as there's nothing else out there that matches them for quality, design, range and value. Add to that the clever quick release system that makes changing the straps a breeze, and you have a winning formula. I have been looking for a genuine cotton canvas (as opposed to the ubiquitous nylon) to replace an original Hamilton strap for years, and the Barton is far better quality with a huge range of colours.I've also bought the top grain leather and suede straps and each one has been great. It's also important to add that these straps are not tapered, and have a squared off end. Difficult to find, but infinitely better looking, so that's another added bonus. So if you've seen a new watch that you fancy, but don't like the strap that it comes with, then just replace it with a Barton. It never ceases to amaze me how a strap can completely change the look of a watch. Or, better still, cheer up that old friend that lies in your room by buying a couple of alternatives to give it a great new look! Thoroughly recommended.
