I've always wanted to try one of these because i genuinely didn't know whether there was a real difference, and i personally feel there is.I used this after washing my face, and i made to sure to sanitize it with 99% alcohol before use and after. The instructions tell you which way to roll the tool and how long it should take, which was helpful so that i didn't over due it and end up damaging my skin in anyway.It is an odd sensation, but not necessarily painful as long as you do it properly. I didn't add too much pressure, so while i did feel the pinpricks, there was no sharp pain or bleeding.I did notice that it felt as if at least one needle was longer than the others, as i could feel it when i rolled it along my face and it seemed to be a little more persistent than the others, but nothing that would make me not use it again.I applied my skin care afterwards and I did notice a difference when i applied my serums. I did an overnight exfoliating treatment first and while it always has a bit of a tingle to it as it is an acid, it was a stronger sensation after using this tool.I also noticed after applying my other serums and moisturizers that my skin felt like it held on to moisture longer over the next few days of using this tool before my skincare. I plan to continue using it to see if it continues to improve my skin.

Advice is to replace roller every while. Comes in a nice, fitted clear plastic case. Roller is sturdy and has all needles.

I got this derma roller for someone to work on encouraging mustache growth. He says that this derma roller works fine, is easy enough to clean and isn't painful if you use the proper pressure. The case keeps the roller clean and safe from damage, so it's easy enough to throw it in the drawer after use and cleaning. The instructions for use are on the outside of the box in small print. Instructions say to cleanse skin twice and pat dry. The instructions are specific on how many times to roll, to not lift the roller off the skin, and to do it vertically, horizontally then diagonally on each area to be treated. It says this should take 5-10 minutes and can be reapeated 2-3 times a week. The box also says to replace roller head once each month.
