Works as expected, great quality for the price

For the money these are probably the best quality weight plates you can get that are a fraction of the price of traditional/metal weight plates. I got 2 45 lb. plates for less than what I would pay for 1 plate of the traditional style at the local sporting goods/fitness store.These come well packed in sturdy boxes, and are wrapped in plastic. There is a bit of shipping grease on them and they do have a little bit of a plastic smell to them. The smell will go away in a few months and just have some wipes on hand when they arrive so you can wipe/clean them off. They look great, have a good feel to them, and work with the 2.5 inch barbells. These were a huge addition to my home gym since I was moving up to heavier weights on squats and deadlifts and needed to buy more plates behind my first 300 lb. Olympic Set. Other plates were cost prohibitive and I was initially skeptical about these given how "cheap" they were/are, but they are high quality and good plates. These have also been great for deadlifts since they are a bit easier on my floor padding than the metal weights.The only drawback is that there isn't a good handle or spot to grip the plate when you take it off the rack, so with the heavier plates you'll have to use 2 hands to pick them up and rack them. Will certainly buy a few more of these when I need to expand my weight set.

I was browsing for some cheap but good plates and I came across these, too good to be true I thought. So I bought them, and when I got them, they were absolutely perfect! Just what I was looking for to add to my bench. I will say this, they have a LIGHT packing grease on them that you'll want to wipe off with some alcohol before picking them up. Other than that they fit perfectly, function like they should, and get the job done. Great budget plates in my opinion. Actual weight in the pictures.

I've purchased 2 different brands of bumper plates and this brand actually seemed more durable than the other brand I purchased. And the other brand was more expensive! This is an amazing value. These should last a long time. The rubber feels very dense. It shouldn't break down like a low quality product. Highly recommend!

These are great plates for deadlifts and other lifts. Solidly built and easy to load and unload from the bar. I haven't dropped them from a waist high lift, and don't plan to, but I think they'd be fine. Only minor negative is the oil that they are coated in. Wipes off but it stinks and is messy. Great addition to my home gym. I ordered the 45, 25, 15, and 10 pound sets

I was looking for a weight set and decided on bumper plates as I liked the added floor protection and not having to worry about rust. I was on a budget so cost was a concern. I found a set listed as "Amazon's Choice" containing two each 10/15/25/35/45 for $400 plus $65 shipping and was going to buy it before finding these CAP weights. Even though I had to buy them separately (not as a set in a single purchase) I wound up saving more than $200 ($465 for the set vs $245 for the equivalent CAP weights). By itself that's a solid win for me.As far as the weights themselves go I have no real complaints. Their posted weights are accurate to under a third of an ounce. There's a polished steel ring at the center which allows for easy carrying and slides easily and smoothly onto a 2" Olympic-diameter bar. Their design is simple and basic but that's fine; why do my weights need to have flashy colors or patterns on them? The different weights are different colors making identification quick and easy. The weights did initially have a strong "new tire" smell which is to be expected, but the worst of it dissipated pretty quickly and after maybe a week or so the odor completely dissipated. Paired with a 5' CAP solid bar I've got a compact, budget-friendly weight system to work with for a long time coming.

You can't beat the price and its amazon prime shipping. Does gave a weird smell, but you can beat the price per pound. I bought over 220 pounds in CAP brand.

Super great plates. Good price for them too. The other reviews were right about it smelling like tires. I tried washing them and leaving them outside but they still smell. I think it’s something that goes away with time. Other than that they are great plates!

Purchased these for our home gym. Very happy with the quality of the set. I have a set of heavier ‘brand name’ bumper plates that were purchased from a local fitness shop and these CAP plates work just as well. These have been used multiple times since we purchased and are just as good as any bumper plates I’ve used previously. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend.
