Having read many reviews on cheaper filter pumps it really put me off buying one. After some thought ended up spending a little more. Thought this was a little on the expensive side but it is more powerful. This is a 500gal/hour pump and you can feel it has plenty of flow and can see the water on the move when its running. I use this in a Bestway 8ft pool which holds 500 gallons so in theory the pool water is passed through the pump every hour. On the contrary to other pumps that get criticised for being noisy this pump is virtually silent with just a gentle humming. Out of the box, set up and running in under five minutes. No leaks and didn't even need to use the pipe clamps. I use this pump with water treatment and so far so good and the water is as clear as the day the pool was filled about a month ago now so no more continual emptying and refilling which is good for my water meter. I am pleased I got this pump despite the higher price. I'll only know fully how reliable this is going to be when it gets called for action after resting up over winter. Fingers crossed but I am confident I have made the right choice here.

Product does exactly what it says, I use this in an intex 12ft framed pool, it won't clear an already murky pool (I tried ) the filter just isn't big enough for that, but attach it immediately after filling the pool and the water stays lovely and clear (will need chlorine and algecide in the poil too if its 12ft like mine) as the water will still go green without it :-)Also I clean the filter once a day sometimes twice depending on how dirty it is, saves buying new ones too often, but I'd recommend buying 1 spare filter and make sure it is wet before turning the pump on :-)I also find that if you leave the air release valve open the tiniest bit the pump seems to work better

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  So far so good.This is much more powerful than my origional pump which came with the 10ft pool.Its doing a good job at keeping the pool clean and from a noise point of view its ok and not exceedingly noisy.Im not sure how long this pump will last but we generally in the summer months keep it running permanantly so I may be back to review if it fails in the short term.Very happy so far with the quality and performance but I did have to use my old pipes as the ones supplied were way too short and purchase some metal hose clips as the ones supplied looked cheap and inadequate hence the 4star review.This is being used on my 10ft pool.

Compared to other units it’s quite expensive but our pool was starting to get cloudy and we couldn’t find a cheaper alternative.Overall it’s a good filter with a nice constant pressure.It was left running on our pool for less than 8 hours and the filter was green and full of debris.(Pool was unfiltered for 1 week)I can’t imagine what it would have been like if we didn’t purchase this when we did.If your looking for a filter pump ready to go then this is perfect.We have a 8ft intex easy set pool and the pipes only just reach but we can’t keep it 2ft away from the pool as the pipes are too short.If you buy one get some spare filters and a chlorine tablet dispenser at the same time.Other than the price it’s a great filter pump and I would buy one again if needed.

I added a question as my pump runs well but is unable to clear even the tiniest flies or bits from the top of the pool.When you buy the pool pump it is simple to connect and install. However the filter caps you use inside the pool (not blocked ones, as some people thought I was talking about) seem to stop the dirt, etc getting to the pump. As a result I took the outlet (where water leaves the pool to go to pump) off for a couple of hours to allow it to clear some of the small debris. I had clearer it prior to this with a net though!!Overall I find the pump is good for my 2m x 3m pool but may try an upgrade next year after having this for 2 years now.As a general point this pump does circulate the water and chemicals while on so is doing it's job on that score.

Brought a 10ft easy up pool a couple of years ago but the filter that came with it was shockingly bad . Was skeptical of replacement because of hose sizes but this fits perfectly. I had to use my original input and output attachments actually in the pool itself as couldn't get these ones to fit but that really wasn't an issue. Primed in seconds and very good flow.pool cleared very quickly as it was abit merky beforehand. Also the pump when running is very quite.Overall very happy and glad I purchased this.

We have a Fineway pool and pump (Pool is 3m diameter by approx. 1m depth) and the original pump just stopped working, so I had to buy a replacement and I bought this one which is 200 gallons more capacity/performance than our last one and is excellent, hoses were same size as my other pump so have two good sets of hoses.Yes you can open the valve to let air out and it appears to work better open but I think it just froths and makes bubbles so I always close it again.Downside of all of these CHINESE pumps is that they are sealed units and you can't take them apart to fix them.BUT I would say this is a good product and go buy it if you need one.(Still trying to find part number for spare filters but that's not a major problem as you can wash the filter)

Very unhappy but had to keep it, the rubber seal inside is warped therefor not water tight, I had already set my pool up to find my existing pump one of the hoses were cracked and i couldn't find them for sale on there own - so thought a new bigger pump would be better, however as I had to use the hose on my old pump I am unable to return this one - that said I wouldn't recommend as it doesn't work anyway.
