You get 400 x 8mm tablets and the recommended dose is one a day, so these will last you well over a year. When you first open the bottle, there is a protective seal so you know the bottle hasn't been tampered with in transit. The screw cap is not child proof so ensure you keep this bottle in a safe place if you have young children. It is possible to take too much iron and taking 17mg or less a day of iron supplements is unlikely to cause any harm and these tablets are 14mg in the form of ferrous fumarate, a vital mineral essential for the production of red blood cells. Iron supplements are best taken in the morning on an empty stomach (or two hours after eating) with water to have a good effect, because at this time the body has just undergone a long sleep and this period is when the iron levels in the body are at a low level. They're easy to swallow, don't smell gross, come with a safety seal, and they don’t expire until 11/2025.It says to take one tablet a day but because I got them in mid July, they'll almost expire by the time I finish the bottle which isn’t ideal. You may get a fresher batch but it’s definitely worth considering the expiration date if you buy these later in the year

I suffer (or until fairly recently DID suffer) with low iron and was prescribed iron tablets. I have now been signed off by the doctor so am no longer prescribed iron. However, I do still feel that I need the odd top-up of iron (if I haven't had enough foods containing iron like cereals, meats etc.) so these are perfect for me. They contain (compared to my prescription) low doses of iron. They do not, however (compared to my prescription) pong a bit.These are perfect for those wishing to supplement there iron intake and are decent value for 400 tablets. Not sure about the easy to open lid in a household with young children so be careful where you keep these.
