The Marine I25 I like it as added addition to my small 5 gall-Aquarium" Although the consolidated filter all in one' directly inserting the filter down in on to the out let port from the pump; works well as a positive direct: There are few issue's with it" could be me; I noted the filter it self one would think the over all material covering would be evenly coated collecting debris out of the water" My suggestion to Marine" that being I'm a retired Hydraulics specialist, Cat mechanic: My view for this one product would be to have at lest two stage micronfabric" The upper top area tighter the lower area's about the same;Ideally to create enough back pressure bulking up the collection process:for more evenly filling the inside of the containment areabefore processing out the collection internally: Currently I'm not seeing that" mainly do to the fact the positive water injection isheading right to the top of the thing: The notion to let it plug up; work it's way down: not good: May be only a 10% being filtered at a time" The other thing with it: to note" the hanger: who ever designed that simplistic little easy clip on with that drawer like thing that is to catch, hang on to the upper edge of the tank: Now there is no way that is right" it fails to meet a proper fit on a typical standard rectangle aquarium tank: The filter unit tends to hang, fall down in tothe tank: The feature is as such the design fails when it comes to fixing, securing, with that so called slid in to that little flex tabthat hooks on each side of the housing: I own two:I use them as a back up when I R&R the water:They work well enough that I am willing to order addition filtersfor these two units I have: I think it would be better to have a soft piece of material at the base of the housing instead of the four suction cups; & of course a proper over the top on the tank hanger: no holes in the back as it has now: That's what I noted about it: But I could knock all of them in some way: With all I stated here: The manor in how it draws the water in through the lower grid face" I give that a A plus: I love it over the other such types: It really only comes down to this: are those who are in the business of creating this type of equipment,really serious about it" Nothing rubs me wrong more then these half baked, half way engineered; half thought out none functional engineered products: all sucking up wasting Resources that only end up in the dump" Including Aquarium product: For got; the only reason I'm here is I can't get the I-25 filter at the well known Pet store / supply" they stopped stocking it" Now go figure; that when those glob fish tanks all in one with the fancy color blinking light" The globs breaks; cracked right away, they are so brittle thin cheap: so a heads up on that: had two: gave it up: Love Amazon"

Wife received a wall mounted 3 gallon fish tank which came with a filter system that caused more issues than it was worth. I sourced this Marina I25 filter and bought these replacement cartridges as well. I thoroughly cleaned the tank and installed the filter. There was a noticeable difference in the clarity of the water within a few hours from the time i turned on the filter. I try to do a 90% water change weekly (2 Goldfish). I changed the water and mistakenly thought i could rinse the filter in running water (not successful). I caused a clog in the week old filter so I just replaced it with a backup (about $2.50) and Shazaam! the water miraculously became crystal clear..........I am impressed and I have learned to leave well enough alone and will leave the filter alone for about four weeks before disturbing it.

I have bought this product before and I find it very convenient. I use it in my three-gallon fish tank, which contains my pet crayfish.

Cant beat the price here on Amazon compared to the retailers and the filters work well in a small 3 gallon tank.

Toxic to any living fish! None combined carbon so black sooty carbon which is poisonous to fish all aquatic and none aquatic living organisms! I haave had my fish die of this so called filth. It has free carbonite which is not the same as the usual carbon crystals which are combined in Marina filters. DO NOT USE! I have experience of 45 years of fish keeping. I LOVE my fish! This has broken my heart and I will get them in court. I did not even order yhis type of filter. Shame on you!

Great price on Amazon for these filter replacement cartridges, even better that they arrive next day with Prime. Saves me lengthy trips to the pet store just for filters. I have a small/medium fish tank with 2 Danio fish, and 2 mini shrimps, and i usually change the filter once a month. There are two filters per pack. Excellent value.

I gave a four star because I've had to change the filter almost every 2 weeks despite regular tank cleanin because it just gets so full and heavy and we have only 8 very small fish. But otherwise very easy to use

Brilliant - arrived the next day and my fish were extremely relieved. I had (by accident) overlooked the fact that the old filter was full of fish poo until I changed the water and it went orange overnight. Changed the water and replaced the filter - within 20 minutes the water was crystal clear and the fish were buzzing. Well, as buzzing as you can be in a glass bowl full of cold water but it's all relative innit :)

But then functionality drastically decreases plus if this is a disposable item why doesn’t the manufacturer make it compostable. Too much plastic
