Bob Gruen is a great photographer and a real friend of John, so his point of view is precious. Very nice book

Bought as a gift for a John Lennon fan I only had a chance to skip through a few pages. The book seemed well documented with great pics of a true legend and a lovely momento of his 'missing years'

There are a lot of familiar images in this book however this is merely due to the fact that many of them have become iconic images of John Lennon, for example the photos taken on a rooftop wearing a New York City t-shirt, standing alongside the statue of Liberty etc. That shouldn't detract from the quality of the book as there are many more lesser known ones in here besides the familiar. A fine tribute to John as well as some interesting stories to go with them. Bob Gruen was a trusted friend and photographer of John & Yoko and that clearly comes across in the photos. A book to treasure!
