This clock is beautifully designed and blends in nicely with our decor, which is gray and white. It's easy to read and is completely silent. What a welcome change from the typical tick, tick, tick that you hear from ordinary battery operated clocks. It certainly won't keep you awake at night. Love it !

This clock is better in person than on line. The line or “tear” several have complained about is actually part of the background, why else would it be identical on all clocks? It is part of the design to give an antique appearance to the clock, just like the “distressed” finish. I used a permanent black marker to color the numbers which make them easier to read and to blend in with the clock’s hands. It is silent and very accurate with the added benefit of a second sweep hand. It is a tad larger than my last clock so we will raise it an inch or so but it blends well with all the stainless in our kitchen. I am pleased with this clock and recommend it.
