I'll be brief.I have had by my side for years Volume 1. When Volume 2 came out, it was also placed by my side. Volume 3 will be right there as well.Why? Because Erasmo is a genius when it comes to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and what God is telling us and showing us about ourselves in His Word Incarnate, Jesus the Lord.These volumes will take the reader into the true depths of Scripture as God would have us!!!!I cannot say it more clearly. Erasmo delivers us into the very Heart of Christ like no other author I have encountered. And I have read theology, Christology, etc. etc. books by the barrel for years and years.Give yourself a blessing. Read, meditate and pray with Erasmo!!

If you are looking for insights into Jesus Christ, you have to buy this book. I personally met the author about 2 years ago in Spencer, MA; he signed my Vol. 1. He noticed the cover was worn off and he said, "This is the best compliment" and then handed the book back to me with his signature. We chatted for over an hour. One of the most powerful, engaging, and scholarly spiritual commentaries I have ever read. This is a must for anyone who preaches the Gospel regularly. The personal enrichment gained from reading will benefit anyone who loves the Scriptures. This is an excellent resource which brings together the depth of the Christian Tradition, true knowledge of Scriptural studies, and the beauty of Christian culture and spirituality.

The author does a fantastic job of bringing to light how the greek text manifest itself and how different from simple English it really is. Through his use of the Greek, his obvious expertise in Scriptural Study, he draws out of the text a new and necessary profound meaning within the spiritual understanding. This is quite simple a masterful work. Needed for all serious scriptural students.

Absolutely amazing. I've never encountered such a richly spiritual commentary, which was at the same time as line-by-line thorough. Excellent for preparing homilies and sermons, as well as encountering the Lord more deeply in the Scriptures.A must have for priests and deacons.

Fire of Mercy, Heart of the Word probes beneath the surface of the Gospel narratives (Matthew focus). He provides an astonishing depth and breadth of thought. The linguistic analysis invites one to reflect/meditate on the Word of God with a new "lens." This is a book to "treasure.'

This is a wonderful resource. Heard it recommended by Fr. John Ricardo.It is a resource I turn to often.

The three volumes of commentary on St Matthew's Gospel, of which this is the latest, clearly come from a deep relationship with God. There are so many Scripture commentaries that are either too academic and spiritually lifeless or too superficial or give interpretations that are at odds with the teaching of the Catholic Church. I am hoping that this is not the last!

I love this book and its two predecessors. I love the blend of learning and reverent devotion. Does anyone know if there will be a volume 4 with material on the passion and resurrection narratives? I shall certainly buy it if if appears!

The author had written two books and then there was a break. I was very glad to receive the third volume recently. He has now entered a religious order and I am sure this has deepened his insight and prayer over the text.

I have volumes 2 and 3 and awaiting vol 1 to arrive. I have never studies scripture in depth but these books are terrific. I even put aside my novels to read these. I have learned so much and have a fuller sense of who I am as a Christian. ANd I feel more open and free.
